Brendan Donovan Out Again On Wednesday
Brendan Donovan (rib) is out of the lineup for a second straight day for Wednesday's series finale against the hosting Atlanta Braves at Truist Park. Nolan Gorman is starting at second base again and is hitting third against Braves right-hander Bryce Elder. Donovan is dealing with a rib that popped out of place on Tuesday morning, but he's being considered day-to-day and isn't expected to need to be placed on the injured list. With a scheduled day off on Thursday, fantasy managers will be hoping that the hot-hitting 28-year-old will be ready for Friday's series opener at home against the division-rival Milwaukee Brewers. Donovan has been one of the best hitters in the early going in 2025, batting .356 (32-for-90) with three homers, 13 RBI, 14 runs scored and three stolen bases in his first 23 games. Gorman has hit a pedestrian .250 with a homer and seven RBI in his 36 at-bats.Source: MLB.com
St. Louis Cardinals infielder Michael McGreevy Picks Up Third Victory Of The Season
Michael McGreevy tossed six innings of one-run ball en route to earning his third victory of the season on Tuesday evening against the Norfolk Tides. In this outing, McGreevy allowed six hits and no walks. He struck out five. This was a nice bounce-back outing for the former 18th overall pick, as he allowed three runs in his last start. Across his first five starts of the Triple-A regular season (25 innings), the right-hander has posted a 3.60 ERA with a 1.20 WHIP. He has held a strong 21:4 K:BB and allowed just three home runs. Last summer, the 24-year-old made his MLB debut and posted a solid 1.96 ERA with a 0.78 WHIP across his first 23 innings. Fantasy managers should expect McGreevy to join St. Louis in the coming weeks if he continues to perform well at Triple-A.Source: MiLB.com
St. Louis Cardinals pitching prospect Demetrio Crisantes Busy On Tuesday
Demetrio Crisantes was busy during their contest against High-A Tri-City on Tuesday. Crisantes went 4-for-4 at the dish with a home run, three RBI, and a stolen base. This outing extended his current hitting streak to three games. Over his previous five games, Crisantes has begun to hit for power, as he hit two long balls and held an impressive .386/.364/.737 slash line. However, before this recent surge, Crisantes posted a modest .171/.354/.200 line with just one extra-base hit (a double) and five RBI. Last summer, the No. 2-ranked prospect in the Arizona system spent most of his campaign with Low-A. Fantasy managers should expect the 20-year-old to spend the majority of the 2025 season with High-A.Source: MiLB.com
Arizona Diamondbacks infield prospect Ranger Suarez Cruises Through Third Rehab Start
Ranger Suarez (back) pitched five scoreless innings for Triple-A Lehigh Valley in his most recent rehab outing -- collecting a win against the first-place Columbus Clippers. The 29-year-old was solid, allowing two hits and two walks while striking out five. Through 12 minor league innings, he's let up just six hits and one earned run -- punching out 16 batters. Suarez built up to 59 pitches in this start (eight swinging strikes), and is scheduled for his fourth rehab outing this Sunday. It's possible that plan changes, considering fellow SP Cristopher Sanchez (forearm) left his start against the New York Mets on Tuesday with forearm soreness. Still, there's been no further update on his status. Currently, Suarez is on track to return to the team in early May.Source: MILB.com
Philadelphia Phillies starting pitcher Triston Casas Connects On Second Round-Tripper
Triston Casas went 1-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in his team's 8-3 win against the Seattle Mariners. The 25-year-old blasted his second dinger of the season off Mariners reliever Trent Thornton in the bottom of the seventh to give Boston a four-run lead, and they never looked back. It's been a slow few weeks for Casas, as he's gone 6-for-40 (.150) over his last 11 appearances with one extra-base hit, four RBI, and one run scored. The former first-round pick has been superb against left-handed pitchers this season (5-for-8), but struggled against righties to an abysmal .113 batting average. On the bright side, he's cut his strikeout rate by seven points from 2024. Still, it sits at an undesirable 24.1%.Source: ESPN
Boston Red Sox first baseman Josh Smith Stays Hot With Second Home Run
Josh Smith went 1-for-4 with a home run and two runs scored in Tuesday's 8-5 win over the Athletics. He also walked and struck out once. The 27-year-old was moved up to the leadoff spot in this one to give the offense a spark and continued his torrid pace to start the season. Smith is currently riding a seven-game hit streak that reaches back to before he sat out a few contests with a bruised thumb, and he's been spectacular. Overall, he's slashing .367/.456/.571 with two home runs, four doubles, four RBI, and 11 runs scored. Additionally, the former second-round pick has swiped three bags and seen his walk percentage jump to a robust 14.0%. It's unclear whether he'll stick at the top of the lineup against lefties, though we'll have that answer soon with Texas squaring off against left-handed hurler JP Sears on Wednesday.Source: ESPN
Texas Rangers infielder Brent Rooker Pops Seventh Homer
Brent Rooker went 2-for-4 with a home run, walk, and an additional run scored in his team's 8-5 loss to the Texas Rangers on Tuesday. Rooker's seventh long ball of the season came off Rangers reliever Jacob Webb in the bottom of the eighth inning to cut the A's deficit to three, but that was the last run they could plate in the contest. The lefty slugger is starting to heat up, racking up four multi-hit outings across his previous seven appearances. Over that stretch, he's batting a cool .379 (11-for-29) with three home runs, one double, five RBI, and eight runs scored. Rooker has maintained his exit velocity (91.9 mph in 2025) figures while cutting his strikeout percentage (25.7%) by three points from (28.8%) in 2024.Source: ESPN

Source: MLB.com
Athletics infielder Luis Urías homered in the team’s 8–5 loss to the Texas Rangers. Urías finished the night 2-for-3, adding a single and a walk. He is slashing .304/.370/.565 on the season, with a .397 wOBA and .935 OPS. Urías will continue to seize every opportunity he gets at the bottom of the A's lineup after signing as a free agent in the 2024–25 offseason. He and the A's will look to get a win on Wednesday after losing two in a row for the fourth time this season.Lawrence Butler Homers In A’s Loss To Rangers
Lawrence Butler was a bright spot for the Athletics in Tuesday’s 8–5 loss to the Rangers. He went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a strikeout in Tuesday’s defeat. His 419-foot blast in the third inning brought Oakland within one run before Texas pulled away with a four-run fifth inning. The homer was Butler's third of the season, as he is now slashing .309/.397/.485 in April after a slow start in March. Butler will look to keep things rolling against Rangers right-hander Kumar Rocker on Wednesday.Source: MLB.com
Athletics outfielder Tommy Edman Homers In Tuesday’s Extra-Inning Loss To Cubs
Tommy Edman continued his early-season power surge Tuesday, launching a three-run home run in the first inning of Tuesday’s 11-10 extra-inning loss to the Chicago Cubs. It was Edman's eighth home run of the season, already surpassing his total of six from last year. He also added a sacrifice fly and a single, finishing 2-for-4 with four RBI on the night. Edman is now slashing .272/.303/.576 and remains a key contributor to the Dodgers' potent lineup. Los Angeles will look to split the two-game series with the Cubs on Wednesday before an off day leading into the weekendSource: MLB.com
Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Jett Williams Tallies Three Hits, Swipes Two Bags
Jett Williams went 3-for-5 with one triple, two runs, one RBI, and two stolen bases during their contest against Double-A New Hampshire on Tuesday evening. This was Williams's second-straight game hitting a triple. This outing also extended his current hitting streak to five games. Last summer, the No. 55-ranked prospect in the sport and No. 2-ranked in Queens battled injuries and was only able to log 33 MiLB games. However, Williams has been very productive over the first 12 games of the Double-A campaign. During this stretch, the former 14th overall pick has held a strong .292/.346/.563 slash line with three doubles, two triples, two home runs, and four stolen bases. If he continues to perform well with Double-A, he could contend for an early-season Triple-A promotion.Source: MiLB.com
New York Mets infield prospect Deyvison De Los Santos Posts Four-Hit Game
Deyvison De Los Santos went 4-for-5 with a triple and an RBI during his contest against Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday evening. Santos also swiped a bag in this contest. This performance extended his current hitting streak to six games. During this impressive stretch, the 21-year-old has held an impressive .400/.481/.720 slash line with two doubles, one triple, and a home run. This is a great sign as Santos got off to a slow start to the season. Over his first 14 games of the season, Santos held a .245/.321/.286 slash line with just two doubles and a 22:6 K:BB. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor his progression at Triple-A, as he should be in the mix to make his MLB debut later this summer. Last season, Santos posted an impressive .264/.311/.523 line with 26 home runs during his first extended look at Triple-A.Source: MiLB.com
Miami Marlins infield prospect Christian Yelich's Grand Slam Fuels Brewers' Blowout Victory
Christian Yelich starred in Tuesday’s 11-3 blowout win over the San Francisco Giants. Yelich went 2-for-5 with a 407-foot grand slam in the sixth inning that broke the game open, giving the Brewers a 9-1 lead. He also doubled in the third, finishing the night with seven total bases and two runs scored. Yelich's hard-hit percentage (52.8%) and average exit velocity (91.9 mph) rank above the 80th percentile this season, suggesting potential for a jump in his numbers as April nears its end. Overall, the 33-year-old is slashing .222/.337/.444 with five home runs, 19 RBI, and five stolen bases across 95 plate appearances in 2025. Yelich and the Brewers will look to stay hot against Logan Webb on Wednesday.Source: MLB.com
Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ian Seymour Strikes Out Nine Across Five Innings
Ian Seymour continued his impressive start to the Triple-A campaign as he logged 5 1/3 innings of one-run ball on Tuesday in his outing against Nashville. In this start, Seymour allowed just four hits and three walks. He struck out nine batters. This was his third time this season tallying at least eight punchouts in a single start. Through 25 1/3 innings of work (five starts), the former second-round pick has held a 2.49 ERA with a 1.18 WHIP. Seymour has posted an impressive 35:7 K:BB but has struggled to keep the ball in the yard, as he has allowed four long balls. Seymour made his Triple-A debut last season and held a similar 2.33 ERA with a 1.15 WHIP across 54 innings of work. Fantasy managers in deeper AL-only formats should consider stashing Seymour, as he appears to be nearing his MLB debut given his increasing strikeout production.Source: MiLB.com
Tampa Bay Rays left-handed pitching prospect Jacob Misiorowski Strikes Out Eight In Latest Triple-A Start
Jacob Misiorowski enjoyed his best start of the season on Tuesday evening against Triple-A Durham. In this outing, the No. 4-ranked prospect in Milwaukee tossed six shutout innings. He allowed just one hit and one free pass. He tallied a season-best eight punchouts. Through Misiorowski's first 24 2/3 innings of the Triple-A campaign, he has held a strong 2.19 ERA with a 0.97 WHIP. He struggled to command his pitches in his first three starts but has allowed just three walks over his last 11 frames. Last summer, Misiorowski spent most of his time with Double-A before earning a brief taste of Triple-A. Given his progression at Triple-A, Misiorowski could be worth closely monitoring as he could contend for his MLB debut in the first half of the season.Source: MiLB.com
