3 weeks agoOn Friday, New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs (knee) noted that he's excited to play with quarterback Drake Maye. "I'm excited. I really look forward to it," Diggs said. The Maryland product was productive in eight games with the Houston Texans in 2024 before an ACL tear derailed his season. Now, he's set to boost the Patriots' passing game and is reportedly on track to be ready for Week 1. New England's leading receiver a season ago was tight end Hunter Henry (66-674-2), so the 31-year-old enters a favorable situation to garner a significant target share right away if he's healthy. The Patriots have somewhat bolstered their offensive line in free agency but still have some work to do in that aspect. If their front is addressed, affording Maye more time to operate, Diggs could again provide value as a PPR asset, barring a setback in his recovery.--Alex CiullaSource: Nick Shook

3 weeks agoThe Jacksonville Jaguars released offensive lineman Dieter Eiselen this week, according to NFL.com. Eiselen spent the first three years of his NFL career with the Chicago Bears before he joined the Houston Texans for the 2023 campaign. The 28-year-old offensive guard did not see the field at all in 2024 and will now be looking for a new team this offseason. If he gets picked up by another organization, expect him to operate as interior offensive-line depth as he competes for a roster spot. In his four seasons in the NFL, Eiselen hasn't started any of the 24 games that he's appeared in. The South African native originally went undrafted out of Yale before joining the Bears and debuting in 2020.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: NFL.com

3 weeks agoIn addition to visiting with his former team, the Las Vegas Raiders, free-agent wide receiver Hunter Renfrow took a visit with the Carolina Panthers on Wednesday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Renfrow has 269 catches for 2,884 yards and 17 touchdowns in his five NFL seasons with the Raiders but did not play at all in 2024 after Vegas released him last March. The 29-year-old pass-catcher was a first-time Pro Bowler back in 2021, when he had 103 receptions for 1,038 yards and nine touchdowns in 17 games (nine starts). If Renfrow were to land in Carolina, he'd provide the Panthers with an experienced veteran that would serve in a depth role behind the likes of Xavier Legette, Adam Thielen, Jalen Coker and David Moore.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

3 weeks agoThe New England Patriots are expected to release linebacker Ja'Whaun Bentley (pectoral) on Friday, according to ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss. The three-time captain has spent all seven of his NFL seasons with the Patriots but will be now be looking for a new team after suffering a torn pectoral muscle in Week 2 of the 2024 season against the Seattle Seahawks. The 28-year-old former fifth-rounder (143rd overall) in 2018 out of Purdue broke a three-year streak of 100-plus combined tackles in 2024 because of his pec injury. Bentley missed just two regular-season games from 2021 to 2023 and was extremely productive when he was on the field for the Patriots during that time, so he shouldn't have much trouble finding a new team as long as he's fully recovered from his pectoral injury. Bentley has 509 career tackles (280 solo), 10.5 sacks, 21 tackles for loss, 29 QB hits, two interceptions, 11 pass breakups, four forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in 83 games (68 starts) over seven seasons.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: ESPN Boston - Mike Reiss

3 weeks agoThe Kansas City Chiefs announced on Thursday that they re-signed cornerback Nazeeh Johnson to an undisclosed deal. Johnson will stick around with the Chiefs for secondary depth after originally being taken in the seventh round (259th overall) by KC in 2022 out of Marshall. The 26-year-old defensive back did not play at all in 2023 and has 64 tackles (38 solo), one sack and three pass breakups in 27 games (six starts) in his two NFL seasons, with 56 of those tackles coming in 16 regular-season games (six starts) last year. Johnson is far off the fantasy radar in IDP leagues, but he should retain his rotational role in the Chiefs' secondary in 2025 while also contributing on special teams.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: Kansas City Chiefs

3 weeks agoFree-agent wide receiver Hunter Renfrow is reportedly visiting with the Las Vegas Raiders on Friday. Renfrow also visited with the Carolina Panthers earlier in the week as the 29-year-old is attempting a comeback. Renfrow last played with the Raiders in 2023, but he put up career-lows during that season. Renfrow has seen his stats take a dramatic dip since his 100-catch season in 2021. The veteran wideout has proven to be a reliable slot receiver during his career. He could be an interesting option for the Raiders who need depth at the position.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Ian Rapoport

3 weeks agoWashington State wide receiver Kyle Williams reportedly had a visit with the New England Patriots this week. Williams is going to be busy with at least five more teams to visit over the next few weeks. He's coming off an excellent season where he hauled in 70 receptions for 1,198 yards and 14 touchdowns during his final season at Washington State. The speedy wideout has a real chance at being a sleeper pick on draft day. Williams might not go Day 1, but he's certainly drawing attention from around the league.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Jordan Schultz

3 weeks agoThe Philadelphia Eagles have made the tush push famous over the last few seasons. For anyone unsure, the tush push is basically an advanced quarterback sneak where the teammates help push the quarterback forward in order to gain yards on a short yardage situation. Earlier this offseason, the Green Bay Packers made a move to ban the tush push from the league. Soon teams will get a chance to vote on the rule change, but they'll need 24 votes in order to make a change. The league tried to ban this play the year prior, but they didn't get enough votes. It sounds like things could be differently this time around as the ban for the tush push is gaining momentum. If it happens, the biggest impact would be on Jalen Hurts fantasy managers who gain value from him scoring touchdowns on this play.--Andy Webb - RotoBallerSource: Dianna Russini

3 weeks agoThe Atlanta Falcons agreed to terms on an undisclosed three-year deal on Thursday with German-born kicker Lenny Krieg, sources told NFL Network's Mike Garafolo. Krieg visited with the Falcons a day after he kicked at the league's International Player Pathway program. Although he had other visits scheduled with NFL teams, the Falcons liked him enough to get a deal done before that could happen. Atlanta still has Younghoe Koo on their roster, but he missed three games in 2024 due to a hip injury, finished the year on Injured Reserve, and also made a career-low 74 percent of his 34 field-goal attempts (6-for-9 from 50-plus yards) in his sixth year with the organization. Riley Patterson is also on the team's roster at kicker this offseason. Krieg and Patterson will give Koo competition in training camp this summer, but as long as Koo is healthy, he'll be the favorite to remain as Atlanta's primary kicker.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerSource: NFL Network - Mike Garofolo

3 weeks agoThe Carolina Panthers re-signed free-agent center Cade Mays to a one-year deal, according to NFL.com. Mays started his college career at Georgia before transferring to Tennessee for his final two seasons and was a sixth-round selection by Carolina in the 2022 NFL Draft. The Tennessee native played in 27 games (seven starts) during the first two seasons of his NFL career before being released by the Panthers last August and picked up by the New York Giants. He was released by New York in October and rejoined the Panthers practice squad. Now, he's back for another season and will compete for a roster spot and depth role at center and guard in 2025.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBallerSource: NFL.com

3 weeks agoThe Philadelphia Eagles are signing offensive lineman Matt Pryor to a one-year deal, according to the Philadelphia Enquirer's Jeff McLane. Pryor is a former sixth-round selection in the 2018 NFL Draft and spent three seasons (2018-20) with the organization before stints with the Indianapolis Colts (2021-22), San Francisco 49ers (2023), and Chicago Bears (2024). Prior has NFL experience at both tackle and guard in 92 game appearances (39 starts). He now joins the best offensive line room in the NFL and could compete to be the "sixth man" along the offensive front.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBallerSource: Jeff McLane

3 weeks agoThe Las Vegas Raiders are re-signing defensive lineman Matthew Butler to a one-year deal, according to Ryan McFadden of ESPN. The 25-year-old was an exclusive-rights free agent following the 2024 campaign. Butler was selected in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft out of Tennessee and has tallied 15 tackles (five solo) and one quarterback hit in 15 career games. Butler could be hard-pressed to find playing time behind Christian Wilkins, Jonah Laulu, Adam Butler, and Leki Fotu, but he'll have the chance to compete for a roster spot and provide depth along the Las Vegas defensive line in 2025.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBallerSource: Ryan McFadden - ESPN

3 weeks agoAccording to Yahoo senior NFL reporter Charles Robinson, the Titans asking price for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft is at least three first-round picks "or at least something of that value." Miami quarterback Cam Ward is the overwhelming favorite to be the top selection in April's draft, and the Titans have not signed any notable veteran quarterbacks. The current quarterback room in Tennessee features Will Levis, Brandon Allen, and Tim Boyle. All signs are pointing toward Ward ending up in Nashville, but general manager Mike Borgonzi is not completely closing the door on a potential trade out of the No. 1 selection. That said, it sounds like it would take a massive haul of picks or players for a QB-needy team like the Cleveland Browns or New York Giants to make the move up for Ward.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBallerSource: Jared Stillman - The Game Nashville

3 weeks agoFormer Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders will take part in private workouts for the Tennessee Titans and Cleveland Browns following his April 4 Pro Day, according to Ian Rapoport. Both teams have held private workouts for Miami's quarterback Cam Ward and are doing extra work on the son of NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, too. Tennessee is expected to pick Ward with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, but they could be open to moving the pick if they receive a significant trade package. That said, both teams are still realistic landing spots for Sanders, who completed over 71% of his passes for 7,364 yards, 64 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions over his final two collegiate seasons.--Jackson Sparks - RotoBallerSource: Ian Rapoport
