Josh Downs Leads The Way In Week 6 Win
6 months agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Josh Downs caught seven of his nine targets for 66 yards and a touchdown in the team's 20-17 win over the Tennessee Titans. Downs led all Colts in targets, receptions, and yards in the matchup. Downs has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of Joe Flacco's starting in Indy, seeing nine-plus targets in each of his last three games. While it's unclear who the starter at QB will be for the Colts moving forward, Downs is a clear favorite in the offense, and fantasy managers can prioritize him as such. He'll look to keep the momentum going in Week 7 when the Colts take on the Miami Dolphins.Source: ESPN
Michael Pittman Jr. Scores In Week 6 Win
6 months agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. caught three of his five targets for 35 yards and a touchdown in the team's 20-17 win over the Tennessee Titans. Pittman was tied for second in targets with running back Tyler Goodson and finished third in total receiving yards for Indy. While Pittman didn't jump off the box score from a yardage perspective, it was an encouraging performance given the Titans' secondary was allowing the fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. On top of that, Pittman looks to be in the clear from the back injury that initially looked like it was going to sideline him for multiple games. It's still unclear who Indianapolis' starting QB will be moving forward, with Joe Flacco getting the start today and Anthony Richardson serving as the QB3. All in all, Pittman is considered a W2/3 option again in Week 7 when the Colts take on the Miami Dolphins.Source: ESPN
Ryan Kelly Injures Calf In Week 6
6 months agoIndianapolis Colts center Ryan Kelly (calf) exited during the second half of Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans and was subsequently ruled out. The 31-year-old had missed the Colts' last two games with a neck injury before returning for Week 6, so the timing of his new ailment is suboptimal. The Colts will continue to evaluate Kelly in the days leading up to their Week 7 clash against the Miami Dolphins. If Kelly is unable to suit up next week, Tanor Bortolini would likely start at center.Source: James Boyd
Josh Downs Active For Week 6 Versus Titans
6 months agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Josh Downs (toe) is active for Sunday's divisional battle against the Tennessee Titans. He missed two consecutive practices earlier in the week but then progressed to a full participant on Friday. His improved status allowed him to enter this weekend listed as questionable, and he continued to trend in the right direction ahead of gameday. Now, Downs has been confirmed as active and is expected to operate as the Colts' No. 2 wide receiver alongside Michael Pittman Jr. The 23-year-old is averaging an impressive 8.5 catches, 75.5 receiving yards, and 0.5 touchdowns through two games with Joe Flacco, and he should continue to make an impact with Flacco named the starter over the injured Anthony Richardson (oblique). Downs is a high-end fantasy WR3 with impressive upside this weekend.Source: Indianapolis Colts
Michael Pittman Jr. Suiting Up Against Titans Sunday
6 months agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (back) is officially active for Week 6 against the Tennessee Titans. He went from being an injured reserve candidate to being listed as questionable to being active for Sunday's game. Pittman evidently made remarkable progress this week and figures to be a key contributor for Indianapolis ahead of its divisional clash on Sunday. He also gets a boost from Joe Flacco, the Colts' talented veteran passer who was named the starter after Anthony Richardson (oblique) was scratched at the last minute. Pittman ranks as a fringe top-24 wide receiver for fantasy purposes.Source: Indianapolis Colts
Joe Flacco Starting At QB In Week 6
6 months agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Joe Flacco will make his second consecutive start in Week 6, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Anthony Richardson (oblique) was expected to start this week, but at the last minute, Indianapolis made him inactive as their emergency third quarterback. In the end, the starting job will belong to Flacco for one more week. Through two games so far, he has 49 completions, 527 passing yards, five touchdowns, and zero interceptions. He's less mobile than Richardson but possesses more firepower through the air, so the fact that he's starting Sunday is good news for Michael Pittman Jr., Josh Downs, and Alec Pierce in fantasy football.Source: Tom Pelissero
Anthony Richardson Inactive For Week 6
6 months agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson (oblique) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans. He had been listed as questionable and was actually expected to play this week, but at the last minute, the Colts have made him inactive and will start Joe Flacco instead. It's worth noting that Richardson will be the Colts' emergency third quarterback on Sunday, so he could still enter the game if both Flacco and Sam Ehlinger become too injured to play. Nevertheless, the second-year quarterback should be moved to the bench in all fantasy leagues.Source: Tom Pelissero
Michael Pittman Jr. Expected To Suit Up
6 months agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (back) is expected to be active ahead of the Week 6 matchup against the Tennessee Titans. This is an odd turn of events after Pittman was a candidate for the injured reserve earlier in the week. Now, Pittman might suit up and play after being able to practice on Friday. It's unclear what kind of condition Pittman is in physically heading into this game. Fantasy managers should be cautious and rank Pittman as more of a low-end WR3 for Sunday's game. It's uncertain if he'll be limited at all and quarterback Anthony Richardson hasn't exactly had great chemistry with Pittman early in the season.Source: Ian Rapoport
Anthony Richardson Still In Line To Play On Sunday
6 months agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson (oblique) continues to trend toward returning for Sunday's meeting with the Tennessee Titans. He's currently listed as questionable. However, according to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport, the signal-caller should play if he has a "solid pre-game workout." Despite entering the 2024-25 campaign with plenty of hype, Richardson hasn't delivered, throwing for 654 yards, three touchdowns, and six picks while completing just 50.6% of his throws. As a result, he's a risky fantasy option no matter the opponent, although his outlook will improve slightly if Michael Pittman Jr. (back) and Josh Downs (toe) suit up in Week 6. Fortunately, both players are expected to get on the field.Source: Ian Rapoport
Michael Pittman Jr. To Play Through Injury
6 months agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Michael Pittman Jr. (back) plans to play Sunday in the team's Week 6 road matchup against the Tennessee Titans. A few days ago, there was talk that Pittman could miss multiple weeks with a back injury and began the week with back-to-back non-participant designations at practice. His fortune changed on Friday when he was able to log a limited session, and he is reportedly traveling with the team to Nashville ahead of the divisional tilt, per Stephen Holder of The Athletic. It's excellent news for the Colts, who should also have second-year wide receiver Josh Downs (toe) and quarterback Anthony Richardson (oblique) active for the contest as well. Reports are that the 27-year-old will "play through" the nagging back injury, so it's possible he is operating at less than 100% and could have his snap count monitored. Tennessee's defense has been difficult for opposing offenses this season, so expectations should be tempered due to his health and the poor matchup.Source: Stephen Holder

Adonai Mitchell Not A Strong Start In Week 6
6 months agoIndianapolis Colts rookie wide receiver Adonai Mitchell caught four of his seven targets for 38 yards in the team's Week 5 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. Despite a decent target share, Mitchell saw a very low snap share, playing a total of just 19 in the game. With Michael Pittman Jr. (back) and Josh Downs (toe) trending to play, Mitchell will likely see a similar snap share again in Week 6. On top of that, Mitchell and the Colts will be up against the Titans' secondary, a unit that's allowed the lowest receiving yards/game as well as the fewest fantasy points to opposing WRs. Mitchell is better left on the bench in Week 6.Source: RotoBaller
Joe Flacco A Low-End Streaming Option If Given The Week 6 Start
6 months agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Joe Flacco had an outstanding Week 5 performance, completing 33 of his 44 passes for 359 yards in the team's loss. Flacco's starting status for Week 6 against the Titans is up in the air, with QB Anthony Richardson (oblique) tracking to play but still a game-time decision. If Flacco were to start, he would make for a deeper streaming option, with the Titans secondary allowing the fewest passing yards this season at a 124/game average. Fantasy managers in 2QB/Superflex leagues should stay up to date on the news on Sunday morning, should they need a last-minute replacement.Source: NFL
Alec Pierce A Boom-Or-Bust Option In Week 6
6 months agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce popped in the team's Week 5 loss, grabbing all three of his targets for 134 yards and a touchdown. He'll now gear up for a Week 6 matchup against the Tennessee Titans, the team allowing the fewest points to opposing WRs this season. While Pierce has led the team in yards with 386, he comes in fourth in total target share at 12.1%. On top of that, reports suggest that the Colts will be starting QB Anthony Richardson (oblique) in Week 6, which may lower the team's passing volume as opposed to if they were to start QB Joe Flacco. While there remains the possibility that Pierce can catch a few deep shots like he has in weeks past, it's a hard thing to bank on in such a tough matchup. Fantasy managers can view Pierce as a WR4/5 option in Week 6, with him currently slated as the WR46 in our staff's half-PPR rankings.Source: RotoBaller
Tyler Goodson To See Some Opportunities in Week 6
6 months agoIndianapolis Colts running back Tyler Goodson ran the ball five times for 26 yards in Week 5, also grabbing three targets for 31 yards through the air. Goodson was involved in the absence of Jonathan Taylor (ankle) but played a secondary role to RB Trey Sermon in last week's loss. With Taylor out again in Week 6, Goodson will remain involved in the backfield once again. He is in for a tougher matchup, facing a Titans defense that has allowed the 11th-fewest fantasy points to opposing RBs this season. While Goodson may see an increase in volume after a nice showing last week, it's too much of a speculation to start him with confidence in most formats. He is currently the RB48 in this week's staff's half-PPR rankings.Source: RotoBaller
