2 days agoAccording to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown (knee) is off the injury report and good to go for Sunday's divisional matchup against the Washington Commanders. Brown opened the week as a non-participant and then logged two limited sessions on Thursday and Friday. However, this injury seems rather minor, as Brown is already off the injury report. Last weekend, Brown enjoyed a nice performance, catching eight of his 11 targets for 110 yards and a score. Since Week 6, the top wideout has averaged a solid 15.8 PPR points per game with 82.7 yards per game. With Brown expected to see his typical workload, he should be viewed as a must-start WR1 despite facing a Washington secondary that recently welcomed back Marshon Lattimore.Source: Tom Pelissero
2 days agoIt's safe to call Buffalo Bills wide receiver Amari Cooper (wrist) a risky fantasy football option in the team's matchup against the New England Patriots. The veteran earned 14 targets in a shootout versus Los Angeles two weeks ago. He followed that up with zero targets against Detroit in another shootout. Rookie Keon Coleman and tight end Dalton Kincaid returned to the lineup last week and created more competition for targets. Cooper has been a part-time player since his arrival in upstate New York, often playing fewer snaps than Khalil Shakir, Coleman, and Mack Hollins. Cooper could also see a lot of star cornerback Christian Gonzalez on Sunday. There are no concerns about his wrist injury, but fantasy managers shouldn't trust Cooper in lineups this weekend.Source: RotoBaller
2 days agoBuffalo Bills running back James Cook is a must-start RB1 for this weekend's fantasy football playoffs. The 25-year-old bounced back against Detroit last week (133 yards, two touchdowns) after a disappointing affair two weeks ago in Los Angeles (29 yards). Cook takes his momentum into a home matchup against New England. The Patriots have fielded a below-average rush defense all season. The Bills are favored by 14 points, which could lead to more rushing attempts for Cook and his backfield mates, Ray Davis and Ty Johnson.Source: RotoBaller
2 days agoBuffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has strung together nine straight games of over 20 fantasy points. There's optimism the streak will extend to 10 games when the MVP favorite takes the field against the New England Patriots. Before last week, the Patriots were the worst defense against fantasy football quarterbacks over the last month. The Bills are 14-point favorites on Sunday afternoon, which could take the football out of Allen's hands earlier than the final whistle. However, Allen runs plenty and should score a QB1's worth of fantasy points before any potential blowout. He's the top-ranked quarterback this week.Source: RotoBaller
2 days agoSeattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III (calf) has been removed from the final Week 16 injury report on Friday and will be active for Sunday's contest at Lumen Field against the visiting Minnesota Vikings. Meanwhile, backfield mate Zach Charbonnet (oblique) was also cleared, so Seattle will have its top two RBs available this weekend. It's good news for the Seahawks, but bad news for fantasy managers that have one or both of Walker and Charbonnet rostered. Walker missed the last two weeks with his calf injury, which led to Charbonnet accumulating 188 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 30 carries while adding eight catches for 71 yards. For what it's worth, Seattle has since named Charbonnet a captain, meaning that Walker could see more of a reduced role in his return this weekend. Walker has been the clear lead runner when both backs have been healthy this year, but that could change against Minnesota.Source: The Seattle Times - Bob Condotta

2 days agoChicago Bears running back Travis Homer (hamstring) was added to the Week 16 injury report after being limited in Friday's practice, and he's now considered doubtful to be active on Sunday to face the division-rival Detroit Lions. Homer was injured in practice on Friday and is now unlikely to play this weekend, but thankfully for the Bears, they will be getting Roschon Johnson back for additional backfield depth behind D'Andre Swift after he missed the last two games due to a concussion. The 26-year-old Homer has mostly contributed on special teams for the Bears in 2024 and hasn't been on the fantasy radar at all while being buried on the RB depth chart in a low-scoring offense. In his second year in Chicago, Homer has produced only 23 rushing yards on six carries while adding three receptions for 11 yards in 10 games played.Source: Bears Communications
2 days agoTennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan said on Friday that the team isn't expecting cornerback L'Jarius Sneed (quadriceps) to play in the final three games of the 2024 regular season. Sneed landed on Injured Reserve on Nov. 23. It will end up being a lost season for the 27-year-old defensive back, as he played in just five games in his first year in Tennessee. In those five contests, Sneed contributed 23 tackles (19 solo) and two tackles for loss. Before coming to the Titans via free agency as a notable offseason pickup, Sneed had established himself as one of the better cornerbacks in the league in his four seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs. For a Titans secondary that surely has its issues, they will be hoping that Sneed can return in 2025 to the form he displayed in Kansas City before signing a contract with Tennessee.Source: TennesseeTitans.com - Jim Wyatt
2 days agoTennessee Titans head coach Brian Callahan said that kicker Nick Folk (abdomen) will be a game-time decision for Sunday's contest versus the division-rival Indianapolis Colts in Week 16. For insurance in case he can't go, the team plans to bring up Brayden Narveson from the practice squad to the active 53-man roster for the weekend. The 40-year-old veteran has been basically automatic this year for a lackluster Titans offense, but he apparently came out of the Week 15 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals with an injury and may not be able to kick in Week 16. Folk has made 21 of his 22 field-goal tries in 2024 and has been successful on all 25 of his extra-point tries as well. However, because of his injury and in an offense that will start Mason Rudolph at quarterback this weekend, fantasy managers will want to avoid Folk. UPDATE: Folk is officially questionable for Week 16.Source: ESPN.com - Turron Davenport
2 days agoArizona Cardinals running back DeeJay Dallas (undisclosed) was added to the final injury report on Friday for Week 16 action and is considered questionable to play on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. Rookie Trey Benson (ankle) has already been ruled out, and Emari Demercado (back) was placed on Injured Reserve, so starter James Conner is now the only healthy RB on the team's roster at the moment. At this point, it would be a surprise if Arizona didn't promote both Michael Carter and Tony Jones from the practice squad to the active 53-man roster for the weekend. The 26-year-old Dallas had a season-high four carries for 15 yards in last week's win over the New England Patriots with Benson getting injured. Even if Dallas manages to get the green light to play on Sunday in Carolina, he will not have any standalone fantasy appeal.Source: AZCardinals.com - Darren Urban
2 days agoCleveland Browns quarterback Jameis Winston (shoulder) is considered questionable to suit up on Sunday to face the division-rival Cincinnati Bengals in Week 16. Winston was benched in the Week 15 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs after uncorking three more interceptions and is now dealing with a sore right shoulder. The Browns announced earlier this week that Dorian Thompson-Robinson will start this weekend against the Bengals, so if Winston is available, he'll serve as the backup. If he doesn't get the green light, former New England Patriots QB Bailey Zappe would be DTR's backup. The 30-year-old Winston initially gave the offense a jolt when Deshaun Watson (Achilles) went down with a season-ending injury, but in the end, his turnover-prone ways were too much to overcome. With Winston heading into free agency after the season, this will be DTR's show in the final three games.Source: ESPN.com - Daniel Oyefusi
2 days agoCarolina Panthers wide receivers Jalen Coker (quadriceps) and David Moore (concussion) are both listed as questionable for the Week 16 game against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. Rookie Xavier Legette (hip) was also ruled out, so Carolina could be very thin a the receiver position this weekend behind Adam Thielen. Moore was a full participant in Friday's practice, though, so he could have a good shot at clearing the league's protocol before Sunday's game. Coker missed three games from Weeks 12-14 due to injury but returned in last Sunday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys to produce four catches on six targets for a season-high 110 yards and the second touchdown of his career. An 83-yard TD catch was to thanks for the 23-year-old's big day. Coker could have another expanded role if he's active against Arizona, but even then, he'd be a pretty risky gamble as a flex play in the fantasy playoffs.Source: Panthers.com - Darin Gantt
2 days agoChicago Bears running back Roschon Johnson (concussion) has cleared protocol and will return to a struggling Bears offense as they prepare to play the Detroit Lions in Week 16. The 23-year-old running back last played on Thanksgiving against the Lions, where he suffered a concussion that sidelined him for two games. Johnson comes back to an offense that has scored 13 or fewer points in each game he has missed to this point, though he holds some touchdown upside as the Bears' primary goal-to-go rusher. The former fourth-rounder has found the end zone six times so far this season, so his scoring potential provides some limited upside. However, Johnson should only be considered an option in deep leagues.Source: Kevin Fishbain
2 days agoNew York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers (knee, foot) has been removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 16 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. The rookie wideout was limited to start the week and end it, but will suit up this weekend. Possibly, the Giants were just giving the 21-year-old some extra rest considering he's dealing with a few lingering issues. Quarterback Drew Lock (heel, elbow) has been cleared as well, so that should increase Nabers' fantasy value. Nabers hauled in 10 receptions for 82 yards and a touchdown last week. Fantasy managers can go ahead and plug Nabers in as a WR2 for a plus-matchup against the Falcons secondary.Source: giants.com
2 days agoCarolina Panthers wide receiver Xavier Legette (hip) has been ruled out ahead of the Week 16 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. As expected, Legette won't play after being considered week-to-week, according to head coach Dave Canales. There is only three games left in the season, so we'll see if Legette is able to get on the field again this season. For now, Adam Thielen and Jalen Coker (quad) figure to serve as the primary wideouts. However, Coker (quad) and fellow wideout David Moore (concussion) are considered questionable for this game. Deven Thompkins could end up seeing an expanded role, but he won't be a recommended streaming option. If active, both Coker and Moore have low-end flex appeal for this Week 16 matchup.Source: panthers.com
2 days agoNew York Giants rookie running back Tyrone Tracy Jr. (ankle) is currently listed as questionable ahead of the Week 16 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. The rookie back has been limited in practice this week due to an ankle injury. Luckily, it sounds like a day-to-day issue, so Tracy still has a decent chance at returning in time for this contest. If he sits, Devin Singletary is expected to take over as the lead back for Week 16. Singletary began the season as the lead back in New York, but eventually lost the job to Tracy. Singletary rushed eight times for 25 yards and a touchdown last week. There's some flex appeal here if Tracy is unable to go for this game.Source: Dan Salomone
2 days agoLas Vegas Raiders quarterback Aidan O'Connell (knee) is ready to return to the field following a one-game absence and has been cleared from the final Week 16 injury report and will start on Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The return of O'Connell is good news for the fantasy value of tight end Brock Bowers and wide receiver Jakobi Meyers, who are really the only weapons fantasy managers can trust from the Raiders. O'Connell hasn't been a fantastic fantasy option, but he will carry QB2 value in superflex leagues against a struggling Jags secondary.Source: Paul Gutierrez
2 days agoThe Atlanta Braves acquired right-hander Davis Daniel from the Los Angeles Angels on Friday in exchange for minor-league left-hander Mitch Farris. Daniel will head to the National League after the Angels designated him for assignment this offseason. The 27-year-old former seventh-rounder in 2019 out of Auburn made his big-league debut in Anaheim in 2023 and went 1-for-4 in his second season in 2024 with a rough 6.23 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 28 strikeouts in just 30 1/3 innings pitched over his six starts. The Braves have some opportunities in their starting rotation in 2025, but Daniel will most likely begin the 2025 campaign at Triple-A Gwinnett. Farris, 23, was taken in the 14th round in 2023 out of Wingate. He held a 3.08 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 131:43 K:BB in 108 innings over 25 outings (19 starts) at three minor-league levels in 2024.Source: Angels PR
2 days agoThe Baltimore Orioles signed free-agent outfielder Jordyn Adams to a minor-league deal on Friday that includes an invitation to major-league spring training, according to a source. The 25-year-old was a first-round pick by the Los Angeles Angels in 2018. He made his big-league debut with the Angels in 2023 and played in only 17 games. In 2024, Adams played in only 11 games in the majors and went 8-for-35 (.229) with his first home run, four RBI, two steals and four runs scored in 38 plate appearances. In his 28 combined games at the big-league level, Adams has hit only .176/.205/.216 with a homer, five RBI and 28 strikeouts in 78 plate appearances, so he'll be a long shot to become fantasy relevant suddenly in 2025, especially on a stacked Orioles roster. Adams, who hits from the right side, has a .252/.333/.377 career slash line with 42 homers in 561 games in the minors over six seasons.Source: FanSided - Robert Murray
2 days agoTampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Cade Otton (knee) is currently considered a game-time decision for Sunday's Week 16 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys. Otton missed the first two days of practice due to a knee issue that he appears to have suffered last week. He has been seen with a brace on his left knee, but the team hasn't commented on the severity of the issue. Otton has been quiet on the field lately with only one game with more than 35 receiving yards in his last five contests. His absence would likely result in Payne Durham getting the start at tight end. He wouldn't be a recommended streaming option even if Otton is forced to miss this game. UPDATE: Otton is officially considered questionable for Week 16.Source: Rick Stroud
2 days agoFree-agent right-hander Matt Bowman signed a minor-league deal that includes an invitation to major-league spring training on Friday with the Baltimore Orioles. Bowman will make $1.1 million if he's in the majors plus $400,000 in incentives. The 33-year-old veteran was originally a 13th-round pick out of Princeton in 2012 by the New York Mets. He bounced around in 2024 with four different teams at the major-league level -- the Minnesota Twins, Arizona Diamondbacks, Seattle Mariners and Orioles -- and finished with a 4.40 ERA (5.19 FIP), a 1.27 WHIP and a 24:13 K:BB in only 30 2/3 combined innings over 25 appearances (one start). Bowman has a 4.17 ERA, a 1.28 WHIP, two saves and a 176:77 K:BB in 216 career innings at the big-league level since debuting with the St. Louis Cardinals in 2016. He'll represent relief depth for Baltimore in 2025.Source: New York Post - Jon Heyman
2 days agoNew York Jets running back Breece Hall (knee) has been removed from the injury report ahead of the Week 16 matchup against the Los Angeles Rams. Hall missed practice to begin the week, but is now ready to go for this weekend. He returned to the field last week, but struggled as he rushed nine times for 30 yards in the win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Possibly, Hall was still dealing with the knee issue last week, so hopefully he'll get more involved this weekend. Fantasy managers should go ahead and consider Hall as a RB2 with the expectation that Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis will still get mixed in.Source: Zack Rosenblatt
2 days agoThe Chicago Bears' defense has a tough ask in Week 16 as they are going to be competing against one of the most explosive offenses in the league in the Detroit Lions. Chicago has been a poor fantasy defense for quite some time as they have been struggling in points allowed and in turnovers. Over their last seven games, the Bears have allowed 27 points per game and have only forced three turnovers in that span. It'll be a challenge for the team to stop Detroit given the offensive tear they have been on in the past few weeks, therefore Chicago should not be considered for fantasy this week.Source: Pro Football Reference
2 days agoFree-agent left-hander Patrick Sandoval (elbow) and the Boston Red Sox agreed on a two-year, $18.25 million deal on Friday, according to sources. The 28-year-old left-hander is coming off an internal-brace procedure on his left elbow but expects to return at some point in the second half of the 2025 season. He became a free agent after the Los Angeles Angels non-tendered him in November. Sandoval won't be on the fantasy radar to begin the season and will probably be too risky to roster in the majority of formats once he returns in the second half in his debut with Boston. He's the second left-handed starter the BoSox have added this offseason after the traded for Garrett Crochet. Sandoval leans more on his secondary pitches than he does an average fastball, which limits his fantasy upside with a career 22.7% strikeout rate. He has a 4.01 career ERA with a 1.39 WHIP in six MLB seasons to date.Source: ESPN.com - Jeff Passan
2 days agoAccording to Kelsey Russo of the Browns, tight end David Njoku (hamstring) is listed as questionable for Sunday's divisional tilt against the Cincinnati Bengals. Njoku opened the week as a non-participant on Wednesday and Thursday but was spotted earlier at Friday's practice. Fantasy managers should continue to pay close attention to his status over the weekend. Njoku was sidelined last weekend due to this same injury. Over his previous four games, the tight end has averaged an impressive 15.6 PPR points per game with 6.5 receptions and 46.0 yards per game. During this span he found the end zone three times. Even though Dorian Thompson-Robinson will be taking over starting duties, Njoku should still be viewed as a low-end TE1 facing the Bengals who have allowed the most PPR points to opposing tight ends this season.Source: Kelsey Russo

2 days agoChicago Bears tight end Cole Kmet has been quite inconsistent this season and may struggle to find some room to operate in Week 16 against the Detroit Lions. The former second-round pick has been more bust than boom in recent weeks, as he has had one total target in the past two games played. In fact, Kmet has five games with either one target or no targets, compared to his four games with five or more targets this season. Kmet has three catches for 26 yards in the Thanksgiving loss to the Lions in Week 13. The 25-year-old tight end poses a very risky play for fantasy teams in the playoffs, and there may be better options for those starting lineups. Kmet comes in as RotoBaller's TE24 for this week, making him mainly a streaming option in deep leagues.Source: RotoBaller
2 days agoChicago Bears wide receiver Rome Odunze has found himself a solid role in the Chicago Bears offense with 47 catches for 624 yards and three touchdowns over 14 games this season. Odunze hasn't surpassed 50 receiving yards over his last four games but will look to get back on track against the Detroit Lions in Week 16. The rookie receiver has failed to crack 45 yards receiving or a receiving touchdown in 10 of his 14 games this year as the Bears offense has struggled to find consistency. Odunze had two catches for 25 yards in the Thanksgiving game loss to the Lions and will look to improve on those numbers in Week 16. While Odunze's rookie season has been solid as a third wide receiving option for the Chicago offense, but should only be considered to start for fantasy teams in deeper leagues. The Washington product comes in as RotoBaller's WR45 for this week.Source: RotoBaller
2 days agoAccording to Kelsey Russo of the Browns, wide receiver Cedric Tillman (concussion) is listed as questionable for Sunday's match against the Cincinnati Bengals. Tillman was a limited participant throughout practice this week and could be in danger of missing his fourth-straight contest. Tillman has yet to see the field since suffering a concussion during their Week 12 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Before the injury, Tillman was beginning to find his footing after a slow start. During Weeks 7 through 12, Tillman averaged an impressive 15.4 PPR points per game while tallying 66.0 yards and 5.2 receptions per game. Fantasy managers should closely monitor his status ahead of kickoff on Sunday as he has a favorable matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals who have allowed the 13th-most PPR points to opposing wideouts this season. However, he does come with some inherent risk with Dorian Thompson-Robinson replacing Jameis Winston as the starting quarterback.Source: Kelsey Russo
2 days agoChicago Bears wide receiver Keenan Allen is in the midst of one of the worst seasons in his long career to this point but has an interesting matchup against a hurting Detroit Lions defense in Week 16. The 12-year veteran has played well recently and is developing a rapport with rookie quarterback Caleb Williams. Allen has scored in three of his last four games while hauling in 23 of 41 targets for 271 yards. In the Thanksgiving game loss, he torched the Lions with five catches for 73 yards and two touchdowns. Allen comes in as RotoBaller's WR30, making him a mid-range WR3 and a solid FLEX option in Week 16.Source: RotoBaller
