Jordan Spieth Looking To Change Fortunes At TPC Sawgrass
Source: PGA Tour
Jordan Spieth has had a primarily boom-or-bust 2025 season. He has only played in four events, finished top-10 in two of them, T-69, and missed the cut. Coming off of wrist surgery, Spieth's game looks much improved from last season, and he is starting to revive parts that have failed him over the previous several years—he ranks 55th on tour in strokes gained putting and 54th in strokes gained off the tee. The downside for this week is his less-than-mediocre course history at TPC Sawgrass and his below-average iron play. He's missed the cut six times in his 10 starts at the stadium course, and his last top-10 finish was in 2014, his first start in the event. Spieth is a risky play this week in DFS.Avoid Cameron Young At The PLAYERS Championship
Source: PGA Tour
Cameron Young has struggled mightily so far in the 2025 season. He has only one top-10 finish and has missed the cut three times in the six events he has played in. Adding more salt to the wound is the fact that he has not finished better than 51st at the stadium course in his three appearances. Young's iron play has failed him this year with -1.018 strokes gained on approach, ranking 176th on tour. The key to success at TPC Sawgrass is driving accuracy and short iron play, and Young has succeeded at neither this season. To put it in perspective, he ranks 168th in driving accuracy, 133rd from 125-150 yards, and 122nd from 150-175 yards. It's safe to say it's not even worth taking a flyer on Young this week; avoid him at all costs.Michael Kim Continues Incredible Form Ahead Of The PLAYERS Championship

Justin Thomas Looking For More Magic At TPC Sawgrass
Source: Data Golf
It still seems like yesterday that Justin Thomas was storming up the leaderboard at the 2021 Players Championship and rope-hooking a wood down the left side of the iconic 18th hole to allow him to edge out an aging Lee Westwood by one stroke. Flash forward four years, and a lot has changed about JT's game, most of it not for the better. 2025 has had a successful beginning, but after a T36 at Bay Hill last week and losing an average of -1.16 strokes with the flat stick, it is safe to have doubts about him finding the tools to post a quality finish at TPC Sawgrass this time around. Putting has been a hindrance on bermuda greens for much of his career, and with losing over seven strokes on the greens at the Stadium Course over the past two years, it must be considered before adding him to lineups, though everything else seemingly points to all systems go.Xander Schauffele Continues Competitive Return At The Players Championship
Source: Data Golf
It certainly wasn't a week worth remembering at Bay Hill for Xander Schauffele. The 31-year-old returned from a two-month absence to finish T40 at one of the tougher venues on the PGA Tour. While the finish may not be what is expected of the reigning PGA and Open Champion, making it through the week unscathed should feel like somewhat of a victory. It isn't like his game is that far off, either. The world no. three finished the week with an average of +0.57 strokes gained on approach (ranked 20th in the field) and +0.20 in strokes gained off the tee. Touch and feel on and around the greens is clearly a sore spot, but a player of Schauffele's caliber will likely knock the rust off fairly quickly. Still, given the strength of the field and the demanding nature of the Stadium Course, it's unlikely that he will produce enough to justify his hefty DFS price tag.Rory McIlroy Looks To Reverse Recent History At TPC Sawgrass
Source: Data Golf
Since his victory in 2019, Rory McIlroy has not had the greatest of times at the Stadium Course. Putting has been the main concern during that time, as he lost a combined -13.28 strokes on the greens between 2021 and 2023. That has luckily been a strong point of emphasis for the 35-year-old this season, as he has ranked inside the top 10 in strokes gained putting in two of four events. Given that he averaged -0.28 strokes gained on approach at Bay Hill, the iron play is perhaps the largest question mark heading into Thursday. Still, McIlroy is a weekly asset and should warrant any consideration DFS players are willing to give him.Victor Hovland Looking To Find Form At The PLAYERS Championship
Source: PGA Tour
Victor Hovland has started in four PGA Tour events this season, posting results of T36, T22, and two missed cuts. He now turns his focus to The PLAYERS Championship, an event he has played in four times, including two top-10 finishes in 2022 and 2023. To replicate that success at TPC Sawgrass, players will need to excel from tee to green, with particular emphasis on accuracy off the tee and on approach. Hovland currently ranks 40th in driving accuracy and 35th in strokes gained off the tee (0.350 per round). He also ranks in the 91st percentile in proximity from 100-150 yards, a crucial range considering that 32.3% of all approach shots at Sawgrass last year came from this distance. Although Hovland's recent form may cause hesitation for fantasy managers, his strong history at this event makes him a potential bounce-back candidate. At $9,000 on DraftKings, he is worth considering for your lineups.Brian Harman A Sleeper Pick At The PLAYERS Championship
Source: PGA Tour
Brian Harman has flown under the radar in his last four starts, recording finishes of T25, T17, T32, and most recently T40 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. He now turns his attention to The PLAYERS Championship, an event he has competed in 12 times. He's made the cut nine times, including four top-10 finishes -- highlighted by a T2 finish in 2024. To replicate that success at TPC Sawgrass, Harman will need to be solid from tee to green, where he currently ranks 68th on tour, gaining 0.399 strokes per round. He also ranks well in other key areas this week, including 51st in driving accuracy, and 93rd in strokes gained off the tee (0.033 per round). He's also in the 95th percentile in proximity from 150-200 yards, a critical range given that 30% of all approach shots at Sawgrass last year came from this distance. At $7,600 on DraftKings, Harman is a strong sleeper pick for fantasy managers this week.Min Woo Lee A Hard Name To Trust At The Players Championship
Source: Data Golf
Given everything we've seen from Min Woo Lee in early 2025 between TGL and regular tour events, it seems a little far-fetched to call him hard to trust, right? The correct answer would normally be yes; however, the way he's managed to reach the top of leaderboards is not what typically finds success at the Stadium Course. The Australian has only gained strokes on approach in one of his last four starts, most recently losing -6.7 strokes on approach during his two rounds before missing the cut at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. At $9,600 on FanDuel, Lee is a volatile player who can either shine like a superstar or self-destruct at any moment.Sungjae Im Looking To Build On Momentum At TPC Sawgrass
Source: Data Golf
Last week at Bay Hill was a slight return to form for Sungjae Im, coming in T19 and ranking inside the top 20 in strokes gained putting, around the green, and off the tee. Unfortunately, his approach game struggled to get going, which has been a common theme for him in 2025. That will need to improve if he hopes to continue his decent run at TPC Sawgrass, but there are plenty of things to be optimistic about. His accuracy off the tee will give him plenty of opportunities to attack pins, and the comfortability hitting shots around the green and making putts on bermuda surfaces is some of the best on tour. While the 26-year-old is far from a must-play this week, certain qualities make it worth taking the risk.Rasmus Hojgaard Looking To Get Back On Track At The PLAYERS Championship
Source: PGA Tour
Since posting a T12 finish at the Phoenix Open, Rasmus Hojgaard has missed the cut at the Genesis Invitational and finished T34 at the Mexico Open. He now shifts his focus to The PLAYERS Championship, an event he has yet to compete in. At TPC Sawgrass, players will need to be solid from tee to green, but especially accurate off the tee and on approach. Hojgaard ranks 117th in driving accuracy but is 58th in strokes gained off the tee, gaining 0.241 strokes per round. However, his struggles on approach have been evident, as he ranks 132nd, losing 0.198 strokes per round. Despite this, Hojgaard still ranks in the 76th percentile in proximity from 100-150 yards, a critical range given that 32.3% of all approach shots at Sawgrass last year came from this distance. Given his recent form and lack of experience at the course, fantasy managers may want to carefully consider their options before including Hojgaard in their lineups.Max Greyserman Aims To Continue Strong Play At The PLAYERS Championship
Source: PGA Tour
After finishing the Arnold Palmer Invitational with a T22, Max Greyserman has posted three straight top-25 finishes and looks to continue that momentum into The PLAYERS Championship, an event he has yet to compete in. At TPC Sawgrass, players will need to be solid from tee to green, but especially accurate off the tee and on approach. Greyserman has struggled off the tee, ranking 162nd in driving accuracy and 116th in strokes gained off the tee, losing 0.087 strokes per round. However, he has been strong on approach, ranking 42nd and gaining 0.411 strokes per round. Over the last 12 months, Greyserman also ranks in the 60th percentile in proximity from 100-150 yards, a critical range given that 32.3% of all approach shots here last year came from that distance. At $7,300 on DraftKings, Greyserman offers upside for fantasy managers, but his lack of experience at this course adds some risk.Tony Finau Aims For Consistency At The PLAYERS Championship

Corey Conners Looking To Build Off Strong Finish At The Arnold Palmer
Source: PGA Tour
Corey Conners was in the hunt on Sunday at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, but despite not registering any bogeys, he was unable to gain ground on the leaders, managing just one birdie on the day. He now looks to carry that momentum into THE PLAYERS Championship, an event he has competed in five times, making the cut in four of those appearances, including a T13 finish here last year. To replicate that success at TPC Sawgrass, Conners will need to be solid from tee to green, where he currently ranks 90th on tour, averaging 0.159 strokes gained per round. He has also been impressive off the tee, ranking 39th in driving accuracy and 61st in strokes gained off the tee (0.233 per round). Additionally, over the last 12 months, Conners ranks in the 83rd percentile in proximity from 100-150 yards, a range that accounted for 32.3% of all approach shots here last year. At $7,900 on DraftKings, fantasy managers can confidently rely on Conners in their lineups once again.Keegan Bradley In Excellent Form Ahead Of The PLAYERS Championship
Source: PGA Tour
Keegan Bradley has been in excellent form to start the year, recording five top-15 finishes in his first seven events, highlighted by a 64 on Sunday at the Arnold Palmer Invitational -- including a record-breaking 29 on the front nine. Now he turns his focus to THE PLAYERS, where he has competed 13 times, making the cut eight times with two top-10 finishes. At TPC Sawgrass, players will need to be accurate off the tee and on approach, and Bradley ranks 61st in driving accuracy, 30th in strokes gained off the tee (0.403 per round), 25th in approach (0.926 per round), and is in the 93rd percentile in proximity from 100-150 yards over the past 12 months, a distance that made up 32.3% of all approach shots here last year. At a price of $7,700 on DraftKings, fantasy managers can confidently include Bradley in their lineups this week.
