3 days agoAtlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young (Achilles) will likely remain in the lineup on Tuesday against the Portland Trail Blazers, as the team lists him as probable on the injury report. Atlanta continues to have Young's name on the report, but he has missed only a handful of games this season, and his nagging Achilles issue does not seem to have any impact on his performances. Young nearly had a 20-20 game with assists against the Milwaukee Bucks in his last outing and will attempt to post a sixth consecutive double-double on Tuesday. It would match his longest such streak this season.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 days agoPhoenix Suns guard Bradley Beal (hamstring) may rejoin the action on Tuesday against the Milwaukee Bucks, as the team has listed him as questionable on the injury report. The three-time All-Star has been unavailable for seven games due to a hamstring strain. Beal has started working on five-on-five drills in practice, which suggests his return is near. The Suns could certainly use some help, as the team's postseason hopes are fading away, and Kevin Durant (ankle) has been ruled out for at least a week. Beal may have a larger role on offense due to Durant's absence. If he isn't ready to return on Tuesday, Collin Gillespie will continue to have extra fantasy value.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 days agoMilwaukee Bucks forward/center Giannis Antetokounmpo (foot) is probable to play on Tuesday against the Phoenix Suns. The Greek superstar remains on the injury report with a foot sprain, but he will likely suit up for Tuesday's contest. The injury does not appear to limit Antetokounmpo in any way, as he has notched 30-plus points in four consecutive outings. Antetokounmpo's scoring numbers dipped slightly in March, but his recent performances show that he has started to build up momentum again ahead of the postseason.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 days agoAccording to ESPN's Shams Charania, New Orleans Pelicans guard CJ McCollum (foot) will be shut down for the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign. The Pelicans have already been eliminated from Postseason contention, so the move was made to keep him off the floor. The 33-year-old averaged 21.1 points this season, his most since 2021-22. However, he logged only 56 games after logging 66 in 2023-24. New Orleans also announced Zion Williamson (back) also won't be back on the floor this season, so guys like Kelly Olynyk, Jordan Hawkins (back), Bruce Brown, and Jose Alvarado should be busy moving ahead.Source: Shams Charania
3 days agoDenny McCarthy's calling card has always been the putter. The American golfer has five Top 25 results and a couple of Top 10 finishes too. However, he has not truly battled for a win on a Sunday yet. One of the biggest problems for McCarthy in 2025 has been the third round. He averages 30 putts on what would mostly be Saturdays. Even his birdie or better conversion percentage (31.5%) is 102nd or slightly below tour average. Consistency has been missing for McCarthy even though he ranks 17th in strokes gained to putting (0.54). While scoring ranks inside the Top 50, overall birdie average is 91st. That is why a few more putts need to drop and the Valero Texas Open could be that place.Source: PGATour.com

3 days agoBrian Harman has already competed in nine events on the PGA Tour. The American golfer who has won three times including The Open Championship in 2023 does not have one Top 10 finish. Now, Harman has three Top 25 results and has only missed the cut twice. However, he took a week off after The Players Championship where a second round 77 caused him to miss the weekend. Harman's swing through Hawaii started off disastrous (75-74 at the Sentry). The season has not quite gone as expected. The Valero Texas Open does not set up well for Harman with four holes 550 yards or greater. With the putter so far off (145th in strokes gained) and averaging 29.58 putts per round and 31.71 on Sundays, Harman may be one to fade from a DFS perspective this week. Source: PGATour.com
3 days agoOklahoma City Thunder forward/center Jaylin Williams (hip) has been upgraded from questionable to available ahead of Monday's tip-off against the Chicago Bulls. He will be back in the lineup after missing Saturday's contest against the Indiana Pacers due to hip tightness. In each of his last two starts, Williams has posted a triple-double, showing he can be a significant force in fantasy basketball. However, his role on the Thunder team is very limited when Isaiah Hartenstein (hip) and Chet Holmgren (hip) are available.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 days agoOklahoma City Thunder center Isaiah Hartenstein (hip) is good to go for Monday's matchup against the Chicago Bulls. After he suffered a hip injury against the Indiana Pacers on Saturday, Hartenstein was initially listed as questionable for Monday. Before being limited by injury against Indiana, Hartenstein had posted five double-doubles in six appearances. He has averaged 12.1 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks in 27.4 minutes this month. Chicago allows the fourth-most fantasy points in the league to centers, so Hartenstein could be in for a very productive evening.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 days agoOklahoma City Thunder forward/center Chet Holmgren (hip) will play against the Chicago Bulls on Monday. Initially, Holmgren was considered questionable for the game, but the team has upgraded his status to available. Holmgren has missed two of the last four contests as he manages a hip injury. The uniquely talented big man has averaged 14.1 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks in 29.2 minutes this month. Chicago boasts the third-highest pace in the league but has one of the worst defensive records, making this a good fantasy matchup for Holmgren.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 days agoDallas Mavericks center Dereck Lively II (ankle) will miss at least one more game, as the team has downgraded him from questionable to out ahead of Monday's meeting with the Brooklyn Nets. A stress fracture in his right ankle has kept Lively II sidelined since mid-January, but he is nearing his return. In his pregame presser on Monday, Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd told reporters that Lively II could return to action this week. His next opportunity to make a comeback will be on Wednesday versus the Atlanta Hawks. The Mavericks will then conclude this week's slate with a back-to-back set against the L.A. teams on Friday and Saturday.Source: Grant Afseth
3 days agoDallas Mavericks guard/forward Caleb Martin (hip) will be active on Monday against the Brooklyn Nets. The team has upgraded Martin's status from probable to available, clearing the way for him to make a third consecutive appearance. Since returning to the lineup, Martin has logged 23 minutes across two games, so he does not have a significant role to play in the rotation. Overall, he has averaged 17.1 minutes since moving to Dallas, notching 4.3 points with 2.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists.Source: Grant Afseth
3 days agoDallas Mavericks center Daniel Gafford (knee) will return to the lineup on Monday against the Brooklyn Nets. He has missed seven weeks due to an MCL sprain. Because of his long absence, Dallas will limit Gafford's playing time to 15 to 20 minutes on Monday. This means Kai Jones may still have a significant role in the rotation. For the season, Gafford has averaged 21.9 minutes per game, recording 12.3 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks.Source: Grant Afseth
3 days agoChicago Bulls point guard Lonzo Ball (wrist) is unavailable for Monday's matchup with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Ball will miss his 15th straight game due to a sprained right wrist. With Kevin Huerter (thumb) also out, 22-year-old Dalen Terry could get the nod to start this evening. Terry finished with eight points, five rebounds, four assists and one steal across 26 minutes in a 120-119 loss to Dallas on Saturday. He could have added fantasy value with the potential of a heavier workload against the Thunder.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 days agoMiam Marlins left-hander Ryan Weathers (forearm) is scheduled to ramp up his throwing progression this week, according to Fish On First's Kevin Barral. Weathers suffered a flexor strain in his left forearm late in spring training and was forced to open the 2025 season on the 15-day injured list. The 25-year-old southpaw should be stashed in deep-mixed and NL-only leagues, but he still has a ways to go to ramp up his arm and may not make his season debut until late April or early May, barring any setbacks. Weathers' season was interrupted last year due to injury as well, as he landed on the 60-day IL due to a left index finger strain. He looked good when he wasn't hurt, though, sporting career-best strikeout and walk rates while going 5-6 with a 3.63 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 80:24 K:BB in 86 2/3 innings over 16 starts. A rotation spot will be waiting for the post-hype sleeper when he returns from his forearm injury.Source: Fish On First - Kevin Barral
3 days agoDallas Mavericks forward/center Anthony Davis (adductor) has been cleared to play in Monday's contest against the Brooklyn Nets, but his minutes will continue to be monitored. The plan is to use Davis for 25 to 28 minutes. Over his previous three games since returning from injury, Davis has averaged 28.3 minutes a night, posting 15.0 points, 6.7 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.0 blocks, and 1.0 steals. Although the minutes restriction limits Davis' fantasy potential, it's great to see him back on the court, and he could still do serious damage against Brooklyn's weak defense.Source: Grant Afseth
3 days agoBoston Celtics center Luke Kornet (illness) will not suit up for Monday's matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies. The veteran big man had an impressive outing on Saturday against the San Antonio Spurs, but he has been struck by an illness, which will take Kornet out of the lineup for the first time since Feb. 26. Al Horford (toe), who missed Saturday's matchup, should naturally take over Kornet's minutes. March has been by far Horford's best month of the season, as he has averaged 12.3 points, 8.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.0 blocks, and 1.0 steals.Source: Boston Celtics
3 days agoBoston Celtics guard/forward Jaylen Brown (knee) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. He is having trouble with his right knee and was initially listed as questionable on the injury report. Sam Hauser has frequently stepped in for Brown in the starting unit and is likely to do so again, while Payton Pritchard may have an opportunity to play a larger role off the bench. Meanwhile, Jayson Tatum and Derrick White should see an increase in their offensive usage.Source: Boston Celtics
3 days agoUtah Jazz forward Cody Williams (illness) will not play on Monday against the Charlotte Hornets. He is battling an illness, and the team has ruled Williams out for Monday's contest after initially listing him as questionable. Williams' exit from the lineup opens up a spot in the starting unit. Utah will roll out Isaiah Collier, Brice Sensabaugh, Johnny Juzang, Kenyon Martin Jr., and Kyle Filipowski to start the game. Sensabaugh, who has shot an impressive 50.6 percent from deep on 5.3 attempts this month, will benefit the most from Williams' absence.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 days agoLos Angeles Clippers guard/forward Bogdan Bogdanovic (knee) has been listed as available for Monday's contest against the Orlando Magic. His status has been upgraded from questionable, as Bogdanovic is prepared to play despite experiencing soreness in his right knee. With Kawhi Leonard back in the lineup, Bogdanovic will likely have to adjust to a smaller offensive role, which will negatively impact his fantasy value. Nevertheless, he will be a valuable asset coming off the bench for the team. The Serbian veteran has averaged 11.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.5 assists in 25.9 minutes since joining the Clippers.Source: NBA Injury Report
3 days agoAnthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reports that Miami Heat guard Davion Mitchell (illness) is unavailable for Monday's matchup with the Washington Wizards. Mitchell is a late addition to the injury report due to a stomach ailment that will keep him off the floor for tonight's contest. The 26-year-old has played at least 30 minutes in eight of Miami's last nine contests. With Andrew Wiggins (hamstring) and Duncan Robinson (back) also out of action, Terry Rozier could see an uptick in minutes.Source: Anthony Chiang
3 days agoCharlotte Hornets guard Seth Curry (knee) will be available for Monday's matchup against the Utah Jazz. The veteran sniper missed Sunday's contest against the New Orleans Pelicans due to a knee issue. However, Curry is ready to make a quick return, as Charlotte has upgraded him from probable to available. Due to injuries, Curry's role on the team has grown lately, but he still does not possess significant fantasy value. Over his last six appearances, Curry has averaged 8.3 points in 18.3 minutes with 57.1 percent shooting from deep.Source: Charlotte Hornets
3 days agoCharlotte Hornets guard/forward Josh Green (shoulder) will return to action on Monday against the Utah Jazz. A sore left shoulder kept him off the court on Sunday versus the New Orleans Pelicans, but the team has made him active for Monday after initially listing Green as probable for the game. Green is a versatile player but lacks fantasy appeal. He has averaged 6.8 points, 2.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.2 steals in 26.2 minutes over 13 appearances this month.Source: Charlotte Hornets
3 days agoMiami Marlins third base prospect Connor Norby (oblique) is progressing in his baseball activities as he recovers from a left-oblique strain, according to Fish On First's Kevin Barral. Norby is progressing, but it's unclear exactly what he's doing, and he will probably remain on the injured list through at least mid-April. When the 24-year-old former second-round pick of the Baltimore Orioles in 2021 out of East Carolina University is finally ready to make his 2025 debut, he's expected to join the big-league roster and see plenty of playing time at the hot corner in Miami. In 36 games for the Marlins after they acquired him from the O's last year, Norby went 36-for-146 (.247) with seven home runs, 17 RBI and three steals. He was inconsistent, but the power/speed combination is clearly evident after he hit 26 homers and stole 16 bases in the majors and minors in 2024. Norby can provide plenty of power and speed but won't help your batting average.Source: Fish On First - Kevin Barral
3 days agoAccording to Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel, Miami Heat guard/forward, Alec Burks (back), is available to suit up against the Washington Wizards on Monday. Burks will play despite dealing with a lingering back issue. The 33-year-old guard has been averaging 20.0 minutes, 16 points, 2.0 rebounds and 0.7 assists per contest in the last three games. This evening, he could see extra scoring opportunities with Davion Mitchell (illness) potentially sidelined with a stomach ailment.Source: Ira Winderman
3 days agoThe Atlanta Braves acquired outfielder Stuart Fairchild from the Cincinnati Reds on Monday in exchange for cash considerations, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Justin Toscano. In a corresponding move to clear a spot on the 40-man roster for Fairchild, the team moved right-handed reliever Joe Jimenez (knee) to the 60-day injured list. Fairchild will head to the National League East to serve as outfield depth for the Braves after they learned on Monday that left fielder Jurickson Profar is being suspended for 80 games for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs. While Bryan De La Cruz should become Atlanta's primary left fielder for the time being, the 29-year-old Fairchild could also see some playing time there. He's mostly a glove-first player, though, as he's slashed only .224/.308/.389 with 18 homers, 66 RBI and 23 steals in 249 games over four MLB seasons.Source: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution - Justin Toscano
3 days agoESPN's Jeff Passan reports that Atlanta Braves outfielder Jurickson Profar is being suspended for 80 games for violating the league's performance-enhancing drug policy, according to sources. Profar parlayed his career year with the San Diego Padres in 2024 into a three-year, $42 million deal with the Braves in the offseason, but he played in only four games for the Braves to open the 2025 season before being hit with an 80-game PED suspension. It's a big blow for the Braves offense, especially with former MVP Ronald Acuna Jr. (knee) not expected to make his debut until May after tearing his ACL in 2024. With Profar suspended, the Braves acquired Stuart Fairchild on Monday from the Reds to give them extra outfield depth. With Profar out for the foreseeable future, expect Bryan De La Cruz to see most of the playing time in left field in Atlanta.Source: ESPN.com - Jeff Passan
3 days agoAccording to Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel, Miami Heat guard Davion Mitchell (illness) is now listed as questionable for Monday's matchup with the Washington Wizards. Mitchell is a late addition to the injury report due to a stomach ailment. The 26-year-old has played at least 30 minutes in eight of Miami's last nine contests. His next opportunity to suit up comes on Monday versus the Boston Celtics.Source: Ira Winderman
3 days agoMiami Marlins pitchers Declan Cronin (hip) and Andrew Nardi (back) have both resumed their throwing programs, according to Fish On First's Kevin Barral. Cronin, a 27-year-old right-hander, is recovering from a left-hip strain that he suffered late in spring training. If he can avoid setbacks with his hip, he could be an option for the Marlins' bullpen by mid- to late-April. In his first year in Miami in 2024, Cronin had a 4.35 ERA and 1.42 WHIP with 72 K's and 25 walks in 70 1/3 relief innings. Nardi, a 26-year-old lefty, is on the 60-day injured list due to lower-back inflammation that shut him down in early March in camp. He is behind Cronin in his recovery and won't be eligible to make his 2025 debut until late May. In his third season with the Fish last year, Nardi posted a bloated 5.07 ERA and 1.25 WHIP with 70 K's and 18 walks in 49 2/3 relief innings.Source: Fish On First - Kevin Barral
3 days agoMiami Marlins right-hander Edward Cabrera (finger) will start a minor-league rehab assignment on Tuesday at Triple-A Jacksonville. Cabrera is on the injured list to begin the 2025 regular season due to yet another blister issue on his right middle finger that surfaced on March 13 during his spring training start. However, the 26-year-old is already ready to start his rehab assignment and may only need a couple of outings in the minors before he's activated and rejoins Miami's starting rotation. Cabrera is officially eligible to come off the IL on April 7. Fantasy managers in most mixed leagues can probably take a wait-and-see approach on the Dominican hurler when he's ready to return. He's been incredibly inconsistent and injury-prone in his four years in the majors and went 4-8 in 2024 with a 4.95 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 107:50 K:BB in 96 1/3 frames over 20 starts.Source: Fish On First - Kevin Barral
