2 months agoFares Ziam picked up a unanimous decision victory over Mike Davis on the main card of UFC Saudi Arabia on Saturday. Ziam entered the bout as the underdog but managed to pull out the win in a hard-fought fight. In the second round, Davis caught Ziam in a calf slicer and it looked like Ziam's knee was about to pop, but Ziam managed to escape the danger and finish the round on top. In 15 minutes of action, Ziam landed four takedowns and 35 significant strikes. With the win, Ziam improved to 7-2 in the UFC

3 months agoKaan Ofli suffered a decision loss to Muhammad Naimov at UFC Saudi Arabia on Saturday. Ofli was coming off a KO loss to Mairon Santos in the TUF finale but still was awarded a UFC contract. However, against Naimov, he struggled to get going as he only landed 31 significant strikes and was controlled on the ground and against the fence to lose. With the loss, Ofli fell to 11-4-1 and 0-2 in the UFC and will be fighting for his job next time out.

3 months agoJairzinho Rozenstruik suffered a decision loss to Sergei Pavlovich at UFC Saudi Arabia on Saturday. Rozenstruik entered the fight as a sizeable underdog and he didn't throw much volume due to the power of Pavlovich. He ended up landing just 23 strikes with 17 of them being significant strikes as well as being taken down twice to lose. With the loss, Rozenstruik fell to 15-6 as a pro and 9-6 in the UFC. He will likely fight someone behind him in the rankings.

Pavlovich entered the fight as the favorite despite being on a two-fight losing streak. Many expected this fight to tend quickly but both were tentative to throw. Ultimately, Pavlovich ended up getting a takedown in the second and third rounds to secure the win in a lackluster fight. With the win, Pavlovich improved to 19-3 as a pro and is 7-3 in the UFC.
