Pavel Buchnevich Scores Goal, Adds Two Helpers
3 days agoSt. Louis Blues left wing Pavel Buchnevich tallied three points during their 6-1 victory over the Utah Hockey Club on Tuesday evening. Buchnevich did all of his damage in the opening frame. He first tallied the secondary assist on Brayden Schenn's goal. Later, he would find the back of the net on a snapshot, which would eventually serve as the game-winner. He would then add his second helper, this time a secondary assist on Jimmy Snuggerud's power-play goal. This was Buchnevich's second three-point outing over his last three contests. Over his last eight contests, Buchnevich has found the back of the net six times and added four helpers. He will look to carry this momentum into the Stanley Cup Playoffs.Source: NHL.com
Brayden Point Busy In Tuesday's Victory
3 days agoTampa Bay Lightning center Brayden Point tallied three points during their 5-1 victory over the Florida Panthers on Tuesday evening. In the opening frame, Point would score his 42nd goal of the campaign and tally the primary assist on Connor Geekie's eighth goal of the season. Later in the second period, Point would add the secondary assist on Nikita Kucherov's 37th goal of the regular season. This three-point outing snapped his three-game scoreless streak. Before his minor slump, Point scored nine goals and added four helpers over his last nine contests. Through 76 games this season, the 29-year-old has found the back of the net 42 times and added 40 helpers. This was Point's third-straight campaign scoring at least 40 goals. He will look to stay hot in game No. 82 on Thursday against the Rangers.Source: NHL.com
Shea Langeliers Homers In Win On Tuesday
3 days agoAthletics catcher Shea Langeliers had a big game for his team in a 12-3 win over the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday. Langeliers went 3-for-5 with a double, a homer, two runs, and two RBI in the winning effort over Chicago. The veteran catcher launched a solo homer, his fourth of the season, off Chicago starter Sean Burke in the third inning. It was a monster blast that traveled 409 feet with an exit velocity of 107.9 MPH. Langeliers is now hitting .250 with 10 runs and 10 RBI across 56 at-bats this season. After combining to hit 51 homers over his past two seasons, Langeliers is staking his claim as one of the premier power threats at the catcher position in all of fantasy.Source: MLB.com
Andrew Vaughn Hits Three-Run Home Run On Tuesday
3 days agoChicago White Sox first baseman Andrew Vaughn was the lone bright spot for his team in a 12-3 loss to the Athletics on Tuesday. Vaughn went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer to drive in the only runs of the game for his team in the loss. The veteran first baseman has been off to a slow start in 2025, hitting just .123 with two homers, three runs, and eight RBI across 57 at-bats. Vaughn should bounce back as he combined to hit 40 homers and drive in 150 runs over his past two seasons, although a poor White Sox team around him may hinder him.Source: MLB.com
Jet Greaves Picks Up Fourth Straight Victory
3 days agoColumbus Blue Jackets rookie goaltender Jet Greaves stopped all 29 shots he saw en route to defeating the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday evening. This was a "must-win" game for the Blue Jackets to keep them alive in the playoff race. Greaves was able to lead the way as Columbus was able to win their fifth-straight contest. During Greaves' impressive four-game winning streak, he has posted two shutouts and allowed just three total goals. He has held an incredible .976 save percentage with a near-perfect 0.76 GAA. Before this impressive late-season finish, Greaves held a modest 3.02 GAA with a .894 save percentage over his last five NHL starts. Fantasy managers should expect Greaves to get the nod in their regular-season finale on Thursday against the New York Islanders.Source: NHL.com
Pete Alonso Goes Deep On Tuesday
3 days agoNew York Mets first baseman Pete Alonso turned in a productive game in a 6-3 loss to the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday. Alonso went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and a double but it wasn't enough to overcome the Twins. The veteran infielder kicked off the scoring in the game with a solo homer in the first, a shot that traveled 416 feet with an exit velocity of 106.9 MPH. Alonso is off to a great start this season, hitting .356 with five homers, 11 runs, and 20 RBI through 59 at-bats. While the batting average won't last as he's never hit over .271 in his career, Alonso remains an elite source for homers and RBI in all fantasy leagues.Source: MLB.com
Anthony Stolarz Stops 35 Shots On Tuesday
3 days agoToronto Maple Leafs goaltender Anthony Stolarz stopped all 35 shots he saw on Tuesday evening during his victory against the Buffalo Sabres. The Sabres held the slight advantage in the shot total, but Stolarz was able to lead the way. Steven Lorentz's strike in the second frame would serve as the game-winner. This was Stolarz's fourth shutout of the season. This outing also extended Stolarz's winning streak to an impressive eight games. During this stretch, Stolarz has posted a stellar .950 save percentage with a 1.37 GAA. Even though the 31-year-old netminder has missed time, he has been very productive when on the ice. Fantasy managers should expect Joseph Woll to get the nod during their regular-season finale on Thursday against Detroit.Source: NHL.com
Will Smith Homers In Win Over Rockies On Tuesday
3 days agoLos Angeles Dodgers catcher Will Smith turned in a big game in a 6-2 win over the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday. Smith went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer to help down Colorado. The veteran catcher launched a three-run homer off Colorado starter Ryan Feltner in the third inning, a blast that gave the Dodgers a 4-0 lead. Smith is off to a fast start in 2025, hitting .367 with two homers, six runs, 12 RBI, and one stolen base across 49 at-bats. He remains one of the premier offensive catchers in all of fantasy.Source: MLB.com
Timo Meier Tallies Three Points In Victory
3 days agoNew Jersey Devils left wing Timo Meier tallied three points during their 5-4 overtime victory over the Boston Bruins on Tuesday evening. Meier opened the scoring in the first period on a slap shot. In the second, he would tally the secondary assist on Stefan Noesen's power-play goal. Then, in overtime, Meier would add his second secondary assist on Brian Dumoulin's game-winner. Over his last five games, Meier has been productive on the scoresheet, tallying six points (four goals). Before this recent surge, the 28-year-old was in a bit of a slump, tallying just two points (all goals) over his last seven contests. Through 80 games this season, Meier has found the back of the net 26 times and added 27 helpers. He is a strong option in DFS on Wednesday evening, facing the Detroit Red Wings.Source: NHL.com
Shota Imanaga Strikes Out Seven On Tuesday
3 days agoChicago Cubs left-hander Shota Imanaga pitched well in a 2-1 extra-innings win over the San Diego Padres on Tuesday. Imanaga allowed just one unearned run over five innings while scattering four hits, walking three, and striking out seven but had to settle for a no-decision in the contest. The veteran right-hander was a bit wild in the start but also managed to notch 12 swinging strikes against a dangerous Padres lineup. Imanaga has now made five starts for the Cubs, posting a 2-1 record, 2.22 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, and 21 strikeouts over 28 2/3 innings of work. Imanaga will look to keep it going in his next start, which is set for Tuesday against the Los Angeles Dodgers.Source: MLB.com

Harper blasted a two-run shot off Hayden Birdsong in the seventh inning to push the Phillies' lead to 6-3. The blast traveled 354 feet with an exit velocity of 106.2 MPH. Harper is off to a decent start in 2025, hitting .250 with three homers, nine runs, seven RBI, and four steals across 64 at-bats. The veteran remains one of the top fantasy hitters in the league.Source: MLB.com
Dylan Moore Homers Twice, Drives In Four On Tuesday
3 days agoSeattle Mariners second baseman Dylan Moore turned in a big game in an 8-4 loss to the Cincinnati Reds on Tuesday. Moore went 3-for-5 with two homers and four RBI in the loss to Cincinnati. The veteran infielder provided all the offense for the Mariners, leading off the game with a homer against Reds starter Nick Lodolo and then blasting a two-run shot off Lodolo in the fifth. Moore is off to a good start in 2025, hitting .306 with four homers, eight runs, six RBI, and two steals across 36 at-bats. He is worth starting in deeper fantasy leagues while he's swinging a hot bat.Source: MLB.com
Austin Hays Homers, Drives In Four On Tuesday
3 days agoCincinnati Reds outfielder Austin Hays turned in a big game in an 8-4 win over the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday. In his debut with the Reds, Hays went 2-for-4 with a homer and four RBI to help spark Cincinnati to the win over Seattle. Hays strained his left calf during Spring Training and had spent all of the early portion of the regular season on the injured list before getting activated ahead of Tuesday's game. He made a good first impression as he blasted a three-run homer off Seattle starter Luis M. Castillo in the fifth inning. Hays is worth monitoring in fantasy moving forward.Source: MLB.com
Tyler Mahle Strikes Out Nine Over Six Shutout Innings
3 days agoTexas Rangers right-hander Tyler Mahle was dominant in a 4-0 win over the Los Angeles Angels on Tuesday. Mahle threw six shutout innings while allowing two hits, walking three, and striking out nine to improve his record to 3-0 on the season. The veteran hurler was on top of his game in the start, picking up 18 swinging strikes against the Angels. Mahle has been excellent to start the year for the Rangers, posting a 0.92 ERA, 0.86 WHIP, and 21 strikeouts over 19 2/3 innings of work. He will be put to the test in his next start, however, as he is slated to face off against the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday.Source: MLB.com
Quinn Priester Picks Up Win On Tuesday
3 days agoMilwaukee Brewers right-hander Quinn Priester pitched well in a 5-0 win over the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday. Priester tossed five scoreless innings, allowing just one hit, walking three, and striking out four to earn his first win of the season. The 24-year-old hurler notched seven swinging strikes while keeping the Detroit hitters off balance for much of the outing. Priester has looked good in his two starts for the Brewers after they acquired him from the Boston Red Sox in a trade last week. He is worth considering as a streamer in deeper leagues moving forward.Source: MLB.com
Matt Fitzpatrick A Boom-Or-Bust Option At RBC Heritage
4 days agoMatt Fitzpatrick played steady, if unspectacular, golf at The Masters, recording rounds of 71-73-74-73 en route to a T40 finish. He'll look to build on that performance at the RBC Heritage, a tournament he's played 10 times and famously won in 2023, defeating defending champion Jordan Spieth in a playoff for one of his two career PGA Tour victories. In that win, Fitzpatrick gained over six strokes on approach and nearly 11 strokes from tee to green, two areas that have been concerns for him this season. He currently ranks 151st in strokes gained from tee to green and 157th on approach. There is reason to believe he can turn this around, as he ranks 49th in driving accuracy and sits in the 45th percentile over the last 12 months in proximity from 150–200 yards, a key range that accounted for 42.5% of all approach shots last year. At $7,200 on DraftKings, Fitzpatrick profiles as a boom-or-bust candidate this week.Source: PGA Tour
Patrick Cantlay A Strong Play At RBC Heritage
4 days agoPatrick Cantlay has been the model of consistency this season, playing eight events and recording no worse than the T36 that he finished with at The Masters. He'll look to carry that steady form into the RBC Heritage, a tournament where he's experienced tremendous success. In seven trips to Harbour Town, Cantlay has recorded six finishes of T7 or better, including four third-place results. That success has been driven by his dominance off the tee and on approach, two areas where he continues to thrive this season. He ranks 18th in strokes gained from tee to green (0.964 per round), 18th on approach (0.598), and 68th in driving accuracy. He also ranks in the 88th percentile over the last 12 months in proximity from 150–200 yards, a critical range given that 42.5% of all approach shots came from that distance last year. With his track record and current form, Cantlay is a strong play at $10,000 on DraftKings.Source: PGA Tour
Hunter Brown's Quality-Start Streak Continues Tuesday
4 days agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Hunter Brown continued his excellent string of starts in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Cardinals. Brown pitched six innings, allowing four hits and two walks with four strikeouts. The 26-year-old has turned in a quality start in each of his first four starts, going 2-1 with a 1.50 ERA, a 0.83 WHIP, and an 8.25 K/9 rate over 24 IP. Brown put together a solid 2024 campaign after an erratic 2023 and seems to have taken another step forward to start 2025. He will look to continue his quality start streak in his next scheduled matchup, which will be a middling one against the Blue Jays.Source: MLB.com
Jordan Spieth Targets Another Strong RBC Heritage Showing
4 days agoAfter posting a solid 73-73-69-70 at The Masters, Jordan Spieth finished T14, marking his second consecutive top-15 finish and his fourth of the season. He'll look to build on this performance at the RBC Heritage, where he's competed eight times, winning in 2022 and finishing as the runner-up in 2023. To repeat that success, Spieth will need to be accurate off the tee and precise with his irons. He's been solid in these areas this season, ranking 62nd in strokes gained on approach and 51st in driving accuracy. However, Spieth ranks in just the 19th percentile over the last 12 months in proximity from 150–200 yards, a key range considering 42.5% of all approach shots came from that distance last year. Spieth carries some risk, but his strong track record at Harbour Town makes him a viable option for fantasy managers at his $9,200 price tag on DraftKings.Source: PGA Tour
Kevin Gausman Tosses Another Quality Start In Tuesday's Win
4 days agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Kevin Gausman continued his strong start to the season in Tuesday's 6-3 win over the Braves. Gausman pitched six innings, allowing two runs on six hits (including two solo home runs) and no walks with six strikeouts. The 34-year-old has looked great after a relatively disappointing 2024, going 2-1 with three quality starts, a 2.49 ERA, a 0.71 WHIP, and a 7.11 K/9 rate in four starts and 25 1/3 IP. The strikeout numbers are still down, but fantasy managers will likely take that tradeoff for the stellar ERA and WHIP. Gausman will face a decent matchup in his next scheduled start, which will be at the Astros.Source: MLB.com
Jasson Dominguez Collects Three Hits, Three RBI Tuesday
4 days agoNew York Yankees outfielder Jasson Dominguez had a productive game at the plate in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Royals. Dominguez went 3-for-3 with two singles, a double, and three RBI. The 22-year-old has had a solid start to the season offensively, slashing .275/.362/.431 with one home run, eight RBI, and two stolen bases in 58 plate appearances. There are some potentially worrisome signs for Dominguez, such as his dreadful .050 batting average against left-handed pitchers and his bottom-five percentile average exit velocity. However, the Martian carries a ton of pedigree and has produced respectable overall numbers, so fantasy managers can be cautiously optimistic at this point.Source: MLB.com
Collin Morikawa Eyeing Victory At RBC Heritage
4 days agoAfter a T14 finish at The Masters, Collin Morikawa has now recorded six straight results of T17 or better to start the season. He'll look to build on this elite form at the RBC Heritage, an event he's played five times, never missing a cut while recording two top-10 finishes. To succeed at Harbour Town, players need to be accurate off the tee and precise on approach, and no one on the PGA Tour has been better than Morikawa in these areas. He ranks first in strokes gained from tee to green (gaining 1.999 strokes per round), first on approach (1.1929 per round), and first in driving accuracy (72.94%). He's also in the 95th percentile over the last 12 months in proximity from 150–200 yards, a key range considering 42.5% of all approach shots came from that distance last year. Morikawa is a home run pick this week, and fantasy managers should invest in his $10,900 price tag on DraftKings.Source: PGA Tour
Jake Irvin Tosses Seven Shutout Innings In Tuesday Win
4 days agoWashington Nationals starting pitcher Jake Irvin put forth his best start of the early season in Tuesday's 3-0 win over the Pirates. Irvin pitched seven innings, allowing three hits and a walk with six strikeouts. The 28-year-old had been uninspiring before this start, and his season totals now sit at a 1-0 record with a 3.91 ERA, a 1.20 WHIP, and a 7.04 K/9 rate in four starts and 23 IP. Irvin will draw a tough start in his next scheduled matchup, having to face the Rockies in Coors Field. Irvin has provided fringy fantasy value at best this season, so the unfavorable environment makes him an easy sit decision for his next start.Source: MLB.com
Alex Bregman Collects Five Hits, Four RBI Tuesday
4 days agoBoston Red Sox third baseman Alex Bregman had an excellent game before heading for paternity leave in Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Rays. Bregman went 5-for-5 with two singles, a double, a pair of solo home runs, and four RBI. The 31-year-old lined a third-inning Ryan Pepiot pitch over the right-field wall and later took Hunter Bigge deep to right-center field in the seventh inning. Bregman has had a stellar start to his Red Sox tenure after signing a three-year, $120 million deal this offseason, slashing .321/.365/.564 with four HR, 16 RBI, and a stolen base in 85 plate appearances. The Red Sox's offense has been erratic overall, but Bregman should have plenty of opportunities to provide fantasy value while hitting third in the lineup.Source: MLB.com
Max Homa Breaks Through At The Masters
4 days agoAfter five straight missed cuts, Max Homa finally showed some life at The Masters, posting rounds of 74-70-69-71 en route to a T12 finish. He'll look to build on that momentum at the RBC Heritage, an event he's played three times with results of T55, a missed cut, and a T41. To find success at Harbour Town, players need to be accurate off the tee and precise on approach -- areas where Homa has struggled significantly, ranking 182nd in approach, losing 1.495 strokes per round, and ranking 97th in driving accuracy. However, over the last 12 months, he ranks in the 80th percentile in proximity from 150–200 yards, a key range given that 42.5% of all approach shots came from that distance last year. His showing at The Masters was encouraging, but fantasy managers may want to see more consistency before trusting him in DFS lineups.Source: PGA Tour
Tyler Soderstrom Hits Two Three-Run Homers Tuesday
4 days agoAthletics first baseman Tyler Soderstrom continued his hot start at the plate in Tuesday's 12-3 win over the White Sox. Soderstrom went 3-for-5 with a single and a pair of three-run home runs. The 23-year-old lined a first-inning Sean Burke hanging curve just over the right-field wall, and he later launched a sixth-inning Penn Murfee offering deep into the right-field seats. The former fantasy prospect has started to make good on the promise he offered, slashing .328/.403/.734 with a league-leading eight HR to go with 17 RBI in 72 plate appearances. He is currently rostered in 85 percent of leagues, so he may still be available for fantasy managers looking for higher-end power.Source: MLB.com
Corbin Carroll Hits Grand Slam, Plates Five Tuesday
4 days agoArizona Diamondbacks outfielder Corbin Carroll continued his power surge in Tuesday's 10-4 win over the Marlins. Carroll went 2-for-5 with a double, a grand slam, and five RBI. The 24-year-old clobbered a sixth-inning George Soriano fastball into the right-field upper deck to put the D-backs ahead 10-1. Surprisingly, Carroll's main fantasy attribute so far in 2025 has switched from speed to power, as he is slashing .338/.423/.735 with six home runs, 15 RBI, and one stolen base in one attempt. This may not have been what fantasy managers expected from him, but they can't complain about his overall production. His speed is still a major threat, and he has plenty of time to accumulate stolen bases.Source: MLB.com
Weston Wilson Moves Rehab Assignment To Triple-A
4 days agoThe Philadelphia Phillies announced on Tuesday that infielder/outfielder Weston Wilson's (oblique) minor-league rehab assignment has been moved to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. Wilson began the 2025 season on the injured list due to a strained left oblique that he suffered in spring training, but the 30-year-old veteran is progressing on his rehab assignment and should be an option for the big-league roster as outfield depth before the end of April. In four rehab games to this point with Single-A Clearwater, he has just one hit in 10 at-bats with a stolen base, four walks and three runs scored over 14 plate appearances. Wilson was scheduled to play nine innings at second base on Tuesday at Lehigh Valley before most likely seeing action in the outfield later this week. In 40 games with the Phils in 2024, Wilson hit .284/.347/.489 with an .836 OPS, three homers, 10 RBI and three steals in 98 plate appearances.Source: Philadelphia Phillies
Noelvi Marte Heads Back To Triple-A
4 days agoThe Cincinnati Reds announced on Tuesday that they optioned infielder Noelvi Marte to Triple-A Louisville. Marte was one of the odd men out with infielder Matt McLain (hamstring) and outfielder Austin Hays (calf) both returning from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday. Marte was brought up to Cincy as infield depth when McLain landed on the injured list, but the 23-year-old only appeared in three games and went 1-for-6 at the plate with a steal, two runs scored, and a walk in seven plate appearances. He'll now head back to the farm and bide his time there before eventually getting another shot in the big leagues with the Reds at some point this year. Marte was suspended 80 games last year, and when he returned, he really struggled at the plate. He has an intriguing power-speed combination, but he's facing an uphill battle for playing time in the majors.Source: Cincinnati Reds
Endy Rodriguez Lands On Injured List
4 days agoThe Pittsburgh Pirates placed catcher Endy Rodriguez (finger) on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday after he exited Monday's contest against the Washington Nationals with a right index-finger laceration that required stitches, sources told MLB.com's Alex Stumpf. In a corresponding move, the Pirates recalled right-hander Chase Shugart from the minors. Shugart threw 3 2/3 scoreless relief innings for the Bucs in his first stint with the team. With Rodriguez now on the IL and Joey Bart still nursing a back injury, Henry Davis got the start behind the dish on Tuesday and went 1-for-3 in the 3-0 loss. The fact that the Pirates didn't call up an additional catcher suggests that Bart is getting close to a return. The 24-year-old switch-hitting Rodriguez started the year 8-for-45 (.178) with no home runs, three doubles and two RBI and will be a backup catcher/first baseman when he returns from the IL.Source: MLB.com - Alex Stumpf
