2 months agoThe Green Bay Packers' defense and special teams unit will draw a tough assignment as they head home to face the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4. The Packers were able to tee off on Will Levis and the Tennessee Titans to the tune of eight sacks, two interceptions, a fumble recovery, and a touchdown in Week 3 as the top-scoring fantasy defense on the week. With the Vikings heading to town riding the hot hand of Sam Darnold, plus Justin Jefferson, former Packer Aaron Jones, and the return of Jordan Addison, the Vikings will be a tall order to stop on all fronts. Look for the Packers to have some success but ultimately, be a middling option on the week for fantasy lineups.Source: RotoBaller
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers kicker Brayden Narveson has been excellent for the Packers and looks to keep his good fortune going as Green Bay hosts the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4. Narveson has booted home three field goals in every game this season and has been a top-10 fantasy kicker in each week as well. With Jordan Love (knee) possibly returning in Week 4, Narveson's outlook also gets a bump up as the Packers' offense should have more opportunities to score or get into the opponent's end of the field. With Narveson kicking well and averaging double-digit fantasy points per game this season, he's perfectly capable of being a solid contributor at kicker in fantasy lineups for Week 4's game in Green Bay against the Vikings.Source: RotoBaller
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft (shoulder) has turned in two consecutive full practices and is off of the injury report for Week 4 as the Packers head home to host the Minnesota Vikings. Kraft has been a minimal producer for fantasy purposes this season, with just four receptions this season, but Kraft is playing the majority of snaps and routes over fellow tight end Luke Musgrave in the Packers offense. With the tight end position in fantasy being the wasteland that it is, Kraft's outlook looks a lot better if Jordan Love (knee) returns as the starting quarterback even in a tougher matchup against the Vikings. Consider Kraft a low-end streamer at tight end this week against the Vikings this week.Source: RotoBaller
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed (calf/quad) is off of the injury report following a full practice session on Friday and he should be plenty involved in Week 4 as the Packers head home to face the Minnesota Vikings. Reed has been the top fantasy option amongst the Packers' pass-catchers, even with Malik Willis at quarterback. Averaging 30 rushing yards per game this season in addition to his receiving workload, Reed has been a versatile option for fantasy managers as he's stuck in lineups with Willis starting. The Packers may get Jordan Love (knee) back under center, which would universally help the entire offensive ecosystem with ceiling and floor for fantasy purposes. Trust Reed as a low-end WR2 this week even in a tough matchup against the Vikings.Source: RotoBaller
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs will face the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4 and getting Jordan Love (knee) back at quarterback will be a huge coup for the Packers' pass-catchers, including Doubs. After a Week 3 where Doubs caught just one ball for 18 yards on two targets, Doubs has been a bit lost in the shuffle since Malik Willis has been quarterback over the past two weeks. A feather in his cap though is that Doubs routinely runs the highest percentage of routes per dropback amongst Packers wide receivers, so you know he's going to be on the field more than any other receiver. Consider Doubs a low-end flex option, even if Love returns under center for the Packers at home against the Vikings.Source: RotoBaller
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson will need some big plays to hit his fantasy ceiling in a tough matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. Watson had his best production of the season, but it still wasn't enough to really warrant fantasy consideration as he caught two balls for 67 yards in Week 3 against the Tennessee Titans after being left without a target in Week 2. Watson's snaps are also of concern, as they've steadily decreased from Week 1 to Week 3 as he's been rotated with some of the other receivers for the Packers. A Jordan Love (knee) return from injury will help Watson's outlook immensely, but for Week 4 against the Vikings, Watson is merely a flex option that you're hoping catches a long touchdown.Source: RotoBaller
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs has been solid all season but will face a stout Minnesota Vikings defense on Sunday at Lambeau Field. The Vikings are a top-seven in defensive EPA per rush. Having given up the sixth-fewest fantasy points to the running back position this season, Jacobs has a tall task ahead of him to carve out an RB1 week. That said, Jordan Love (knee) is questionable to return under center for the Packers, so the overall outlook on the Packers' chances against the Vikings is dramatically improved if Love is the quarterback. Jacobs' snaps have decreased in three straight weeks from 73% to 52%, but he is still firmly the workhorse in this backfield, even with Emanuel Wilson taking a handful of touches in the past week or two. Jacobs isn't quite an RB1 this week but is a solid RB2 in a tough matchup this week against Minnesota.Source: RotoBaller
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network. The 25-year-old was able to log a limited practice every day this week and could return to action after missing the previous two weeks. Love was diagnosed with a knee injury following their Week 1 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil. Over the past two weeks, Malik Willis has led Green Bay to two straight victories and will get another start if Love is unable to suit up. Fantasy managers should pay close attention to any updates regarding Love, as he should be started in all formats if he is a 'full-go.'Source: Ian Rapoport
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love (knee) was listed as limited for a third straight practice this week on Friday. "Any time he's out there, it's encouraging," head coach Matt LaFleur said. Fantasy managers need to check back soon for Love's official designation heading into Sunday's divisional clash against the Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field. LaFleur won't say one way or another if he knows what Love's availability will be on Sunday. Love is trending toward being a game-time decision, but the good news is fantasy managers will know early on Sunday whether he's available or if the Packers will roll with backup Malik Willis for a third straight game. Love is attempting to return from an MCL sprain suffered in the season-opener. The 25-year-old was close to playing in the Week 3 win over the Titans, for what it's worth. Love will be a more volatile QB1 option with potentially limited mobility if he's active.Source: SI.com - Bill Huber
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers tight end Tucker Kraft (shoulder) upgraded to a full participant in practice on Thursday. He had been limited on Wednesday. Kraft has delivered suboptimal production despite being the Packers' top tight end through the first three weeks of the season. So far, he has just six catches for 77 yards and zero touchdowns. This week, the 23-year-old faces off against the Minnesota Vikings. While Minnesota's defense has played exceptionally this season, they've also allowed the eighth-most fantasy points to opposing tight ends. Kraft is a low-end TE2 whose fantasy value is largely dependent on finding the end zone.Source: Adam Caplan
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed (calf, quad) logged his second consecutive limited practice on Thursday. His status for Week 4 against the Minnesota Vikings is still in the air, but perhaps Friday's injury report will be able to provide additional context. Reed has produced mixed results over the last two weeks but will trend upward if quarterback Jordan Love (knee) is able to return on Sunday. When Reed and Love last played together in Week 1, the young receiver broke free for 158 rushing yards, 33 rushing yards, and two total touchdowns. Reed ranks a WR3/FLEX if he plays this weekend, and he would jump to the WR2 tier if Love is also active.Source: Adam Caplan
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love (knee) was listed as limited in practice again on Thursday. "We'll see. We'll give him up to game time," head coach Matt LaFleur said. Love said earlier this week that he was very close to playing in the Week 3 in over the Tennessee Titans. It sounds as though he'll be questionable on Friday's final injury report, with a game-time decision coming on Sunday morning at Lambeau Field to determine if he'll face the division-rival Minnesota Vikings. Love suffered a Grade 1/2 MCL sprain of his left knee in the Week 1 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles and has missed the last two games. Malik Willis has game-managed the club to two straight victories, but Love's return would certainly open up Green Bay's offense and make receivers Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson more fantasy relevant.Source: Milwaukee Journal Sentinel - Tom Silverstein
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers tight ends Tucker Kraft (shoulder) and Luke Musgrave (quadriceps) were both limited on Wednesday for the first practice of the week. Kraft played through a shoulder injury in the Week 3 win over the Tennessee Titans and saw 67% of the offensive snaps on his way to two catches for 24 yards. The 23-year-old has been the team's primary TE so far through three weeks, but it's amounted to just six receptions on eight targets for 77 scoreless yards. Musgrave played a season-high 56% of the offensive snaps in Week 3 but caught his only target for a three-yard gain. Through the first three weeks, he has only two catches for nine yards to put himself well off the fantasy radar. All of Green Bay's offensive weapons become more interesting if quarterback Jordan Love (knee) can return in Week 4, although Kraft and Musgrave still won't be realistic starting options at their position.Source: SI.com - Bill Huber
2 months agoGreen Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed (calf, quadriceps) was listed as a limited practice participant on Wednesday with calf and quadriceps injuries. Reed has been playing through a calf injury since Week 2, but the quad injury is new this week. Unless Reed suffers a setback later this week with one of his two injuries, he should be able to suit up and play this Sunday in a big divisional matchup against the Minnesota Vikings at Lambeau Field. None of Green Bay's pass-catchers have been all that attractive in starting fantasy lineups the last two games with quarterback Jordan Love (knee) sidelined and backup Malik Willis running the offense. In two games with Willis at QB, Reed has six receptions for 59 yards and four carries for 56 yards. In the season opener with Love active, Reed scored both on the ground and through the air.Source: SI.com - Bill Huber
2 months agoWhen asked if he's less limited in practice this week, Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love (knee) said, "We're building it up for sure. Every day is a little bit better." Love said he's "definitely" moving better and was "pretty close" to playing in the Week 3 win over the Tennessee Titans. Love was officially limited in Wednesday's practice and has a real chance to play in Week 4 against the division-rival Minnesota Vikings for the first time since suffering a knee sprain in the season-opening loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Brazil. The 25-year-old will be more of a shaky QB1 for fantasy managers if he returns this weekend, especially against a Vikings defense that has impressed so far in 2024. Fantasy managers that have any of the team's talented receivers have to be happy that Love's return appears to be right around the corner.Source: The Athletic - Matt Schneidman
