The San Diego Padres and KBO relief pitcher Woo Suk Go are reportedly close to signing a deal, per MLB Network's Jon Heyman. The 25-year-old has served as the closer for the South Korean baseball champions LG Twins since 2019, racking up 139 saves over five seasons. He missed some time in 2023 due to injuries but still notched 14 saves with a 3.68 ERA, 1.36 WHIP, and 31.1% strikeout rate in 44 innings pitched. The Padres also recently signed Yuki Matsui, who could potentially be in the mix for save opportunities. However, Heyman reported that Go would likely be the team's closer if he did sign. Fantasy managers should monitor the situation to see first if Go signs with the Padres and then how the Padres may approach saves to help sort out fantasy value.--Connelly Doan - RotoBallerRead More News
