Packers Confirm Faith In Aaron Rodgers
5 years agoGreen Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur denied that the team selecting quarterback Jordan Love in the first round meant that quarterback Aaron Rodgers' time with the team was nearing an end. "Aaron is a pro, and he's the leader of our football team, and I anticipate that for a really long time," LaFleur said. "I have so much respect for him not only as a player but the person, and some of the stuff that nobody sees. So I can't tell you how much I like working with him." LaFleur continued to praise Rodgers, but the bottom line is that Green Bay was preparing for the future with this draft, and they could go to a more run-heavy approach in 2020 after not drafting a any receivers after Rodgers struggled last year with mainly just Davante Adams. Rodgers can still be a QB1 for fantasy owners, but that high-end upside might be gone.
