Pablo Lopez Turns In Quality Start, No-Decision Monday
Miami Marlins starting pitcher Pablo Lopez pitched well against the Dodgers in Monday's 3-2 extra-inning loss. Lopez pitched 6 innings, allowing two runs on five hits (including a home run) and three walks with six strikeouts. The 26-year-old has had an up-and-down season, and while his season ERA sits at a respectable 3.64 through 26 starts, his second half has been much more turbulent with a 5.57 ERA in eight starts. Lopez's skills are obvious, but fantasy managers may be hesitant to start him by default in pivotal matchups down the stretch. His next start will be another tough one at the Braves, and fantasy managers may consider sitting him with fantasy playoffs on the line.
