Pablo Lopez Looking To Build On Improved Outing Tuesday
1 year agoMinnesota Twins pitcher Pablo Lopez will look to build on a strong outing from his last time out Tuesday night against the Seattle Mariners. He wasn't completely dominant last week against this same Mariners club in Seattle but surrendered just two earned runs across five innings of work while punching out seven. Of course, that outing was of the bounce-back variety as the right-hander was touched up for seven earned runs on eight hits and three walks while serving up a pair of long balls against a weak Oakland A's offense in his previous start. Lopez has had an up-and-down campaign that has resulted in a 4.22 ERA in 20 starts but a 3.39 SIERA and career-high 30.2% K% suggest that he has been better than his surface ERA shows.
