P.J. Washington To Return Against Miami
10 months agoCharlotte Hornets forward/center P.J. Washington (foot) will return for Sunday's meeting with the Miami Heat. The 25-year-old injured his ankle during the January 5 matchup against the Chicago Bulls, keeping him off the floor for Charlotte's following three contests. He was listed as doubtful, so most assumed he was heading for a fourth consecutive absence. However, Washington is good to go, which is welcome news, considering the Hornets are down Mark Williams (back) and Gordon Hayward (calf). Washington has averaged 12 points this season, more than two points less than a season ago. Still, he has the potential to see an increased workload and scoring opportunities, although he hasn't been a consistent fantasy contributor.
