P.J. Washington Notches Game-High 26 Points Off The Bench
4 years agoCharlotte Hornets power forward P.J. Washington had another very strong bench outing in Tuesday's meeting with the Knicks, scoring a game-high 26 points on 10-for-18 shooting. He was a superb 6-for-10 with the three-ball and has now nailed 11 triples in two games since returning from injury. Washington became the sixth Hornets player in the last 25 seasons to score over 20 points in the first half off the bench. He added three rebounds and one steal to his line in 35 minutes. The 22-year-old is playing starters minutes, but head coach James Borrego has been going with Vernon Carey Jr. as the starting center. Washington has three more games this week, starting with Thursday's favorable matchup against Chicago.
