P.J. Walker May Have Earned More Starts
2 years agoCarolina Panthers quarterback P.J. Walker threw for 177 yards and two touchdowns off 16-for-22 passing in Week 7 against Tampa. Walker, who received another start for the injured Baker Mayfield (ankle), led a team that had just traded Christian McCaffrey to an upset win over Tom Brady and the Bucs. As a result, the 27-year-old may start more games moving ahead, with interim head coach Steve Wilks stating that it's "going to be hard to pull" him after the performance. As a result, Baker Mayfield may be on the bench even when he's healthy. However, Mayfield or Sam Darnold (ankle) could be under center if Walker struggles. With that said, none of them are expected to be consistent fantasy producers.
