2 years agoCarolina Panthers quarterback P.J. Walker threw for 177 yards and two touchdowns off 16-for-22 passing in Week 7 against Tampa. Walker, who received another start for the injured Baker Mayfield (ankle), led a team that had just traded Christian McCaffrey to an upset win over Tom Brady and the Bucs. As a result, the 27-year-old may start more games moving ahead, with interim head coach Steve Wilks stating that it's "going to be hard to pull" him after the performance. As a result, Baker Mayfield may be on the bench even when he's healthy. However, Mayfield or Sam Darnold (ankle) could be under center if Walker struggles.
