10 months agoNew Jersey Devils forward Ondrej Palat (lower body) is expected to return to the lineup Thursday on the road against the Carolina Hurricanes. The veteran has missed the last 10 games with his injury after getting hurt in a 5-2 loss versus the Boston Bruins on Dec. 30. "It feels great, finally, to get out there and skate with the team," Palat said after Wednesday's practice. It's been a down season offensively for the former Lightning winger, as he has just five goals and 14 points through 35 games in his second season in New Jersey. It's the third time in four seasons he has missed notable time with an injury, as he appeared in just 49 games last season, posting 23 points in that time. He skated on a line with Tyler Toffoli and Dawson Mercer on Wednesday.--Brenton Kemp
