Ollie Schniederjans Finishes At Two-Under Par at the Valero Texas Open
7 years agoOllie Schniederjans finished at two-under par at the Valero Texas Open, tying him for 36th place on the leaderboard. The finish is the best result he has had in his last six events. Schniederjans, who is still looking for his first win on the PGA Tour, struggled all weekend long to put his whole game together at the same time. His 5.434 strokes-gained approach ranked him seventh in the field, but his negative-3.085 strokes gained in putting helped to neutralize any advantage he was gaining from his irons. Schniederjans is a relatively proficient putter and most of his struggles tend to come off the tee, so his lack of putting prowess here is a bit of a surprise. The former No. 1 ranked amateur isn't far away from his first victory, but he also doesn't seem to be getting any closer with performances like these.
