Odubel Herrera Hits Lone Phillies Home Run
6 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Odubel Herrera recorded a two-run home run in the third inning of Friday night’s loss at Cincinnati to the Reds. The shot, which briefly put the Phillies ahead, was the only home run of the night the day after hitting seven in a comfortable victory. On this day, however, the pitching was once again poor and the offense simply couldn’t replicate their performance. Herrera, meanwhile, is struggling to get back on track following a couple of subpar months at the plate. Across his last 30 games, the 26-year-old is hitting just .216, bringing his season average down to .275.
