Twenty four hours after driving in a career-high five runs in the Philadelphia Phillies 11-0 destruction of the San Francisco Giants, outfielder Odubel Herrera was at it again on Tuesday. The 26-year-old recorded two hits from the No. 3 spot in the lineup, but it was his hit in the third inning that made a significant impact. With Cesar Hernandez in scoring position, Herrera singled to center, increasing Philadelphia’s lead to two runs. The Venezuelan has been a major factor in his club’s hot start to the season, hitting an impressive .346 in the early run. Should he continue to lead the way like this, his club could find themselves making a push for a wild-card spot.--RDelgado
