6 years agoTexas Rangers outfielder Nomar Mazara avoided salary arbitration on Friday by agreeing to a one-year, $3.3 million deal, according to sources. The 23-year-old has been very consistent by hitting exactly 20 home runs in each of his first three seasons in the big leagues. He also added a .258/.317/.436 slash line and 77 RBI in 128 games last year for Texas. Mazara's output hasn't been sexy, but he can be a valuable depth piece for those in deep mixed leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
