No Timetable For Yoenis Cespedes' Return
6 years agoNew York Mets special assistant Omar Minaya said there is no timetable for outfielder Yoenis Cespedes (heels) in 2019. "If he gives us anything this year, that is great, we're happy for that," Minaya said. A top-shelf outfielder when healthy, Cespedes just hasn't been able to stay on the field for long stretches of time over the last two seasons, and he played in just 38 games for the Mets in 2018, hitting .262/.325/.496 with nine home runs and 29 RBI. He's likely to miss at least half the season and probably more based on how uncertain the Mets are of his timetable. Most fantasy owners will be avoiding him altogether.
