6 years agoWashington Nationals first baseman Ryan Zimmerman (foot) said he's been dealing with plantar fasciitis for "a couple weeks" and doesn't have a timetable for a return. However, he doesn't think it's as serious as his 2015 case when he missed seven weeks. Don't be surprised if the 34-year-old veteran takes a while to come back. He was hitting only .213/.302/.373 with three home runs and 11 RBI in 75 at-bats. In his absence, the left-handed hitting Matt Adams will see more playing time and provide owners with power in deeper leagues.
