No Timetable for Aaron Jones to Return
6 years agoGreen Bay running back Aaron Jones (hamstring) has missed the opening of training camp with a hamstring injury. As reported by ESPN’s Rob Demovsky, Mike McCarthy has no time table for his return. McCarthy does hope that Jones is able to return to practice before the preseason ends and Jones’s suspension begins in September. Jones is suspended the first two weeks of the season for a marijuana related charge. He is the most talented running back in Green Bay with the ball in his hands, but has struggled in pass protection. In his absence, Jamaal Williams will likely be the starter with running back Ty Montgomery taking over in no-huddle and hurry-up situations. It is unclear what role Jones will have when he returns after Week 2, but a lengthy absence during the preseason would hamper his ability to get a significant amount of snaps.
