No Practice For Christian Watson Wednesday
2 years agoGreen Bay Packers rookie wide receiver Christian Watson (concussion) was listed as a non-participant in practice on Wednesday. Watson returned from a multi-week absence due to a hamstring injury in the Week 8 loss to the Buffalo Bills and promptly suffered a concussion. The 23-year-old will need to pass through the league's concussion protocol in order to play this Sunday against the Detroit Lions. Allen Lazard (shoulder) has a chance to return this weekend, so it will be very hard to trust Watson as a fantasy contributor if he ends up clearing the protocol and playing. Watson has only eight catches for 64 yards and no touchdowns in his first five NFL games. If Watson isn't cleared, rookies Romeo Doubs and Samori Toure could have big roles alongside veteran Sammy Watkins.
