No Clarity In Le'Veon Bell Situation
6 years agoThe Pittsburgh Steelers have still received no clarity on running back Le'Veon Bell during their bye week on when or if he will report and end his contract holdout. Several team executives think it's more likely that Bell will wait until Week 9 to show up, which is after the trade deadline. The Steelers would ideally like to trade Bell, but his continued absence hurts his value. Talks with the Eagles have not advanced from early inquiries weeks ago. As a free agent in 2019, Bell will be seeking around $17 million a year with heavy guarantees. Bell's fantasy value drops further each week he sits out, and he could be looking at a timeshare with James Conner whenever he does return.
