6 years agoThe Braves, Phillies and Nationals have been the teams most interested in trading for Miami Marlins catcher J.T. Realmuto, but the Marlins would prefer not to trade him within the division. The Brewers and Astros are other teams that are interested. The Nationals (Kurt Suzuki) and Braves (Brian McCann) have recently signed catchers, so they may be out of the running now. Realmuto is two years away from free agency and is highly unlikely to sign an extension with Miami, so he's at the peak of his trade value. He's also one of the best offensive catchers in the game, so the Fish are asking for a ton in return. That might dissuade teams from pursuing him this winter.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
