Nikolaj Ehlers Turns Things Around For Jets Versus Ducks
3 years agoWinnipeg Jets winger Nikolaj Ehlers struck twice inside the final minute and a half in Tuesday's matchup against the Ducks, turning a loss into a 4-3 win. He tied things up 18:40 into the third period when Winnipeg had pulled goaltender Connor Hellebuyck and notched another goal 19 seconds later to get the Jets the two points. Ehlers became the sixth player in league history to score a game-tying and go-ahead goal in the final two minutes of regulation. He also produced an assist in the third period. The 25-year-old winger entered the contest with just one point in five games this season. Ehlers has left many fantasy managers disappointed after he enjoyed a very good 46-point campaign in 47 outings last season, but this could be a breakout game for him, and he can start building on it in a nice matchup against L.A. on Thursday.
