Nikola Jokic Has Big Fourth Quarter Saturday
2 years agoDenver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic scored 15 fourth-quarter points as the team defeated the Lakers for a third time in the Western Conference Finals on Saturday. The Joker had a bit of a rough ride for most of the game, but he came alive in the final period of play to lead the team to victory. He finished with 24 points, shooting 9-for-19 from the field and 2-for-5 from deep with a 4-for-7 effort at the line. Jokic's triple-double streak came to an end Saturday, but he still filled the box score nicely, grabbing six rebounds and recording eight assists with one steal. The Denver star is now only the second player in NBA history with 2,000 points, 1,000 rebounds and 800 assists in a single season, including the regular season and playoffs. Oscar Robertson managed these numbers first all the way back in 1961-62.
