Niko Goodrum Likely Heading To The Injured List
3 years agoDetroit Tigers shortstop Niko Goodrum (finger) was removed from Friday's game against the Los Angeles Angels after injuring his hand while diving for a ball in the field. After the game, Tiger manager A.J. Hinch told reporters that Goodrum sprained a finger on his left hand. Hinch said that Goodrum was in a lot of pain and that he expects Goodrum to land on the injured list. Assuming Hinch's prediction is correct, Willi Castro will likely become the team's primary shortstop. Castro has mostly been playing second base lately. The team's other Castro, Harold Castro, might see an increase in playing time as well due to his infield versatility.
