Niko Goodrum Injured In Collision At First Base
6 years agoDetroit Tigers infielder Niko Goodrum (knee) left the game early on Friday with a right patellar contusion after he collided with Twins third baseman Marwin Gonzalez during a play at first base. Consider him day-to-day for now, but he could sit out a game or two. Goodrum was hitless in three plate appearances with a strikeout before his departure. He's hitting a weak .221/.321/.381 with three home runs, 11 RBI and three steals on the season but can offer some value in deep mixed and AL-only leagues as an everyday player for Detroit.
