5 years agoDetroit Tigers infielder Niko Goodrum (groin) will be placed on the 10-day injured list on Friday after he left the game early. Goodrum missed time with the same injury this past week and it appears he just can't shake the injury. Ronny Rodriguez and Gordon Beckham could continue to platoon at the keystone with Goodrum out, but neither is attractive outside of AL-only leagues. The Athletic's Emily Waldon also suggests that the rebuilding Tigers could recall infielder Willi Castro. Goodrum is hitting .248/.322/.421 with 12 home runs, 61 runs, 45 RBI and 12 stolen bases this year. He's intriguing for his power/speed combination, but he's unlikely to help fantasy owners the rest of the way.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
