Nick Williams Exits Game After Getting Hit In Face
6 years agoThe Philadelphia Phillies suffered a scary loss during Monday night’s game against the St. Louis Cardinals. In the eighth inning of the game, Nick Williams, who was starting in the right field, suffered an injury. While chasing down a fly ball in the outfield, he was struck in the face with a baseball that had ricocheted off the wall. While he continued the play, he was removed from the game, as he covered his blood-soaked face with a towel. Aaron Altherr, who eventually drilled the game-winning hit, came on in place of Williams. Luckily for the club, he stated he was completely fine after the game, seemingly avoiding a major injury.
