Nick Williams Exits Game After Getting Hit In Face
Nick Williams, who was starting in the right field, suffered an injury. While chasing down a fly ball in the outfield, he was struck in the face with a baseball that had ricocheted off the wall. While he continued the play, he was removed from the game, as he covered his blood-soaked face with a towel. Aaron Altherr, who eventually drilled the game-winning hit, came on in place of Williams. Luckily for the club, he stated he was completely fine after the game, seemingly avoiding a major injury.
