Facing the Washington Nationals in a key early series, the Philadelphia Phillies got no help from their starting pitcher on Friday. That was Nick Pivetta, who only went one inning before getting the hook, as the game was already out of hand. The 25-year-old surrendered six runs on five hits and three walks, conceding two home runs, both to Bryce Harper within the first two innings. Pivetta had enjoyed some success prior to this start, carrying a 3.27 ERA into the game. Now, however, his record has fallen to 1-2, while his ERA has ballooned up to 4.76.--RDelgado
