1 year agoBoston Red Sox right-handed pitcher Nick Pivetta will start on Monday against the Seattle Mariners. Pivetta has been working mostly in a bulk relief role for the Bo-Sox, but he has had a few shorter outings as well. He hasn't been pitching every fifth day either, so his role has been very unconventional. Pivetta has been excellent since being moved to the bullpen, though, pitching to a 1.96 ERA in 41 innings of work. If this start on Monday signifies a change in his role, it could mean he becomes more viable in fantasy. He might be worth a flier in standard or deeper leagues to see if he can replicate the success he found out of the bullpen.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller
