Nick Pivetta Goes Five Scoreless In Another Win
7 years agoAlthough he didn’t allow a run on Wednesday night, Philadelphia Phillies right-hander Nick Pivetta only managed to go five innings in his team’s 11-3 victory over the San Francisco Giants. The 25-year-old, who was lit up by the Washington Nationals his last time out, tossed 96 pitches in his five scoreless innings, striking out seven and walking none. It was a much-needed bounce-back performance as the Phillies took their third consecutive game over the Giants. Pivetta’s next start is scheduled for Tuesday against the lowly Orioles at Camden Yards.
