3 years agoThe Miami Marlins recalled right-hander Nick Neidert from Triple-A Jacksonville in order to make the spot start on Wednesday against the Washington Nationals. Outfielder Monte Harrison was optioned to Jacksonville in a corresponding move. Neidert has made five appearances (four starts) in the big leagues for Miami this year, going 0-1 with a 4.50 ERA, 1.65 WHIP and 13 walks in 20 innings pitched. Not only has Niedert walked as many as he's struck out, but he hasn't gone more than 4 1/3 innings in any of his four starts so far this year, which makes him a poor streaming option for those in both daily fantasy and single-year leagues against Washington.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
