Nick Lodolo To Remain In Walking Boot For Two More Weeks
2 years agoCincinnati Reds manager David Bell said that left-hander Nick Lodolo (leg) will remain in a walking boot for the next two weeks, and he has yet to start a throwing progression. Lodolo is currently on the injured list with a stress reaction in his left tibia and won't return anytime soon. There's no reason for the Reds to rush the 25-year-old southpaw back into their starting rotation, either, so fantasy managers shouldn't expect him to return to the big leagues until sometime in July. He's probably been dropped by some fantasy managers in shallow mixed leagues after struggling to the tune of a 6.29 ERA (5.82 FIP) and 1.75 WHIP in seven starts before his injury, but his upside is clear with 47 strikeouts in 34 1/3 innings.
