Nick Foles Looking Like a Serviceable Quarterback Option in the Super Bowl
7 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles will certainly be the second best quarterback playing in the Super Bowl, but he should be a serviceable option this Sunday. Foles has had two huge games and two mediocre games since taking over for the injured Carson Wentz (knee). Foles threw seven touchdowns in 71 pass attempts in the two good games and one touchdown in 79 pass attempts otherwise. The Eagles have game planned well in Foles' most recent starts, and the Patriots defense has been known to allow opposing quarterbacks to fare well against them. There's a clear gap between Foles and Tom Brady, but it's likely smaller than a lot of people think, at least in terms of single-game outcomes.
