The Cincinnati Reds placed outfielder Nick Castellanos (wrist) on the 10-day injured list on Friday with a microfracture on his right wrist. Castellanos was hit by a pitch a week ago. Initial X-rays were negative, but a CT scan on Wednesday revealed the fracture. It's unknown how long he'll be out, but it's a major blow to the Reds and fantasy managers, as Castellanos was second in the National League in batting average (.329) and tied for first in doubles (29) while also hitting 18 home runs and driving in 59 runs in 86 games. Aristides Aquino and Shogo Akiyama should share playing time in the outfield with Castellanos sidelined, but Nick Senzel (knee) could also be returning soon from the injured list. Aquino is in right field and hitting sixth on Friday against St. Louis Cardinals left-hander Wade LeBlanc. He's the more attractive fantasy asset over Akiyama because of his raw power.--Keith Hernandez
