Per ESPN's Chris Mortensen, the NFL competition committee is discussing a change to the playoff structure for 2020 should regular season games be lost to COVID-19 or the pandemic causes any teams to miss their bye week. That proposal would see an expanded field of 16 teams, with the four division winners and four wild card teams in each conference.
