The New York Islanders chose Oliver Wahlstrom with the 11th overall pick in the 2018 NHL Draft. The Islanders add Whalstrom to a young, developing offensive core in their first of back-to-back first-round picks. Wahlstrom is expected to play for Boston College next year, but the sharpshooter could carve out a spot next to Calder Cup winner Matthew Barzal in the future.
