2 years agoNew York Yankees left-handed pitcher Nestor Cortes was excellent against the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday, throwing 7 ⅓ innings of shutout ball. Cortes allowed just three baserunners, including a hit and two walks, while striking out 12. Nasty Nestor has been dealing as of late, owning a 3-0 record, 1.32 ERA, 0.73 WHIP, and 30:8 K:BB ratio over 27 ⅓ IP since the start of September. If he has a strong playoff, he has a case to be drafted as an SP3 next season.--Matt Garon - RotoBaller
