Nelson Cruz Has Successful Eye Surgery
2 years agoWashington Nationals designated hitter Nelson Cruz (eye) announced on his official Twitter account that he underwent successful eye surgery. Cruz dealt with eye issues late in the year that caused blurry vision, but he was able to get it fixed and should be good to go if he decides to continue playing in 2023. The 42-year-old Dominican slugger finally looked his age in 2022, hitting just .234/.313/.337 with 10 home runs, 64 RBI, 50 runs scored and four stolen bases in 448 at-bats in his first year with the Nats. He'll hit the open market this winter and should be able to latch on with another team. But whether he'll be able to bounce back offensively is another question entirely.
