Nelson Agholor Could Be Shut Down
5 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said the team will consider shutting wide receiver Nelson Agholor (knee) down for the rest of the season because his knee has gotten worse. Agholor hasn't practiced all week and is set to miss his third straight game in the biggest contest of the year against the Cowboys, with the winner likely taking the division. The 26-year-old hasn't taken advantage of DeSean Jackson's (abdomen) and Alshon Jeffery's (foot) injuries this year, and he has only 39 receptions for 363 yards and three touchdowns on the year. Philly will move forward with three-wide sets consisting of J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, Greg Ward and Robert Davis. Tight ends Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert will be heavily involved.
