Nationals Acquire Kyle Barraclough
6 years agoThe Washington Nationals acquired relief pitcher Kyle Barraclough from the Miami Marlins on Wednesday in exchange for international bonus pool money. Barraclough struggled in 2018 and was removed from the closer's role eventually. He finished with a 4.20 ERA, 1.33 WHIP, 10 saves and a career-low 9.7 K/9 over 61 outings (55 2/3 innings). The right-hander has always have problems throwing strikes, too, with a career 5.5 walks per nine innings. He could be a key piece for the Nats bullpen, but he won't have any fantasy appeal.
