Colorado Avalanche center Nathan MacKinnon put in a huge performance against Ottawa on Thursday, scoring four goals and adding an assist in a 6-4 win. He became the first player to score four goals for the team since the franchise moved to Denver. Two of the goals and three points on the night came in power-play situations from him. It's been an incredible campaign from MacKinnon, who's yet to go pointless on home ice. Only five players have enjoyed a longer season-opening home point streak than MacKinnon's 17 games. He's also on an overall 17-game scoring streak, beating his previous career best by two games. There have been seven multi-point efforts from MacKinnon in the last nine games, and it's pushed him to 53 points (18 goals, 35 assists) for the year with 33 games played.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
