5 years agoBoston Red Sox pitcher Nathan Eovaldi, currently on the injured list with an elbow injury, will be used as the team's closer as soon as he is able to return to the mound. Sources have indicated that Eovaldi will be used as, "a traditional closer," meaning he won't just be part of the committee the Red Sox have been using most of the season. Eovaldi began the season in the starting rotation, making four starts before landing on the injured list. He struggled to a 6.00 ERA in 21 innings, but he showed an ability to come out of the bullpen and excel in last year's playoffs. Eovaldi should be a strong option in mixed leagues and should be added in all formats.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
