Nathan Eovaldi Set For Rehab Start Friday
2 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi (shoulder) is scheduled for a rehab start at Triple-A Worcester on Friday. He is set to throw four or five innings, and if all goes well he should return to the Red Sox rotation late next week and make two starts before the season ends. He has had his ups and downs this season, but was solid in his three August start before he was put on the IL, pitching to a 2.95 ERA and 1.30 WHIP while recording 16 strikeouts in 18 ⅓ IP. Considering he hasn't pitched in the majors in over a month, he will be an extremely risky option heading into the final week of the season.
