Nate Pearson Impresses Over Five Scoreless
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Nate Pearson had an outstanding major-league debut in the team's 4-0 extra-inning loss to the Nationals on Wednesday. Facing perennial Cy Young candidate Max Scherzer is no easy feat, but Pearson held his own tossing five scoreless frames in the no-decision. He allowed just two hits and two walks while striking out five in the 75-pitch effort before getting removed because of a pitch count. Pearson is the Jays top pitching prospect and the second-ranked right-handed pitching prospect in baseball and is worth grabbing in all fantasy formats. He'll face the Braves on the road in his second career start next Tuesday.
